I have created my own website...let's hope this one holds out longer.  I hope it's not confusing to navigate...I will eventually transfer all my other posts over to there but that's going to take a long time so I'm going to wait until after finals.  You can browse through January's posts because I transferred all those, but no other month is there yet except for the new posts for November!  Check them out!

Today I actually did some of my homework!  Go me!  I woke up and spent the whole morning trying to find a literary magazine thing to write this thing for my class.  I was getting really frustrated so I decided to take a shower and eat lunch.  Then I tried to focus more on my assignment and I finally finished it about 5 hours after I started working on it.  Ugh.  Then I don't really know what I did after that haha but eventually Mom and Dad came home and Mom had to go shopping and she was picking up grandma so Kelley and I decided to go with.  Grandma was really excited to see us because she hadn't seen us since before we left for school.  Kelley took this picture of Grandma while we were in Aldi because she's the cutest and I wanted a picture of her :).  She's so little haha.  Then we went to Walmart and Kelley and I just walked around while they did their shopping.  Then we left and we dropped Grandma off at home before we went back to our house.  I did more homework at night and then we decided to watch Amélie as a family since I might write a paper on it.  It was a good/strange movie that I recommend to people who don't mind reading subtitles.  After that, I tried to stay up to work on more homework but I got tired so I went to bed.

Today was crazaza.  I woke up at 10ish and ate some pancakes before taking a shower.  Ever since Kelley moved into her apartment, she had been taunting me with delicious macaroni so she promised to make me some of it over break.  We had to go to town to run some errands and while we were there, we picked up some cheese and noddles to make the macaroni and cheese.  When we got home, Kelley looked up the recipe online and we realized we didn't have any milk so we had to get back in the car and pick up some milk from the general store.  When we got back, Kelley started making the macaroni and then she realized we didn't have flour so we got back in the car and went back to the general store but the general store was selling flour for a super crazy ridiculous price.  Since the general store is pretty close to our house, we only brought money and the keys to drive the car so we didn't have anything else with us but we decided to drive to a different grocery store anyway.  Since we had already gotten in and out of the car a few times within the same hour, we didn't feel like putting our shoes on so Kelley was wearing slip on dress shoes and I was wearing crocs...and we went out in public haha.  They  had flour at the other grocery store we went to so that was good news bears.  We went back home and finally made the macaroni which was delicious and extremely filling.  Then we decided to chill for a little bit.  Eventually, Mom and Dad came home from work and we helped Mom make dinner which was also very delicious.  We had made plans to go to the movies with Jill tonight so we had to quickly eat and then leave to go to her house!
We got to the theater right before the movie started and Jill bought pop and popcorn.  She bought a medium pop and it was really big so I asked to take a picture of it because it cracked me up.  So I took a picture of her with her pop.  We watched Pitch Perfect which was really funny.  I recommend it to everyone who likes to listen to a Capella because the singing was amazing.  After the show, we went to Target so Jill could get cat litter and then we went back to her apartment.  We talked for a little bit and then we had to go home so I could do my homework.  I started reading The Invention of Hugo Cabret and then I got tired so I went to bed.

Today was a nice day!  Mom made pancakes for us when we woke up and then Kelley and I chilled on the couch.  Kyle decided to play some Super Mario World.  I did a little a bit of homework and then I ate lunch.  Kelley texted Jill and we got together with our BCF!  Jill came to pick us up and then we went to town!  We went to Old Navy and bought cute things and then we went to Goodwill and bought good things.  Then we tried to go to Salvation Army but they were closed :(.  Jill dropped us off at home later with plans for a movie date tomorrow night!  We had dinner which was really good and then Kelley and I played Super Mario World 2 player until Dad came inside and said he wanted to watch some documentary on the dust bowl so we had to stop playing and actually work on our homework.
Later, Katie and Jay arrived and we went down to have a fire and then Justin showed up later and Janelle showed up later than that.  It was pretty cold out but the fire made us warm.  For some reason, The Grey popped up a lot in conversation and when Janelle arrived, she said it was on Netflix instant streaming so we all decided to go back inside and watch it.  It was the first time I watched it and it was pretty good.  It was pretty much a movie about all my biggest fears but that's okay.  I wouldn't watch it if you want to watch a happy movie.  After the movie was over, everyone went home and then I went to bed.

Nothing says "I'm Home" more than playing Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo and that's all I did today :)  I woke up at 10ish which means I slept for almost 12 hours haha...then I decided to take a shower and eat my leftover Which Wich.  I saw that the Nintendo was out so I asked Kyle if we had the Super Mario World game and so he looked for it and found it.  So I decided to play because that game is awesome and it was pretty much my childhood.  The sound effects are so awesome to hear after all this time :).  My thumb got sore from playing haha...emberrising.  I took this picture of Kyle helping me defeat a ghostie level :)  After playing that for ever, I decided I should do something with my life but by the time I stopped and was ready to start doing something, Kelley came home so I lost motivation to do anything productive!!  We ate dinner as a family and then we all chilled in the living room and watched stuff on TV.  Then we went to bed and it was a great day of doing nothing!!!  I love being home!

Today was officially the start of Thanksgiving break!!!  For me at least.  I had a hard time sleeping last night since I slept pretty much all day yesterday.  So I woke up easily and then I took a shower.  I did not eat breakfast because I was still feeling a little nauseous so instead I decided to eat soup in my room and that made me feel 1000 times better.  That soup was the best decision of my life :).  After soup, I had to go to German where we spent the whole class period filling out the narrative past for the verbs in Sleeping Beauty (in German).  Then I had stars and galaxies and he let us out about five minutes early because of Thanksgiving.  I decided during stars and galaxies that I was going to pick up Which Wich to take with me on the bus ride home.  The line at Which Wich was kind of long so it took a while for them to make my sandwich.  By the time I got back to the room, it was time for us to leave.  I bought my ticket last Saturday and Maritza wanted to take the Megabus home but they were all sold out when she went to buy her ticket so she she bought tickets with the same bus service as me!  So we walked to the bus together and then we got seats together and it was great.  We took this picture while on the bus because we're cool and we get excited over things like taking the bus home together.  She also bought a ticket for the same bus as mine back to college so we'll be riding together on the return trip!
I ate half of my sandwich on the bus and we both tried to fall asleep but that failed for me.  Eventually we got to the mall where we were dropped off.  We got there 15 minutes early so Maritza's dad wasn't there yet so she sat in our car while we waited for him.  Once we found her dad, I got to meet her doggy!!  Then we said bye and Mom, Dad, and I went to Five Guys.  I wasn't hungry because I ate my sandwich on the bus.  Then we drove home and I said hello to my doggy!!!!  I love her so much but she kind of just ran away from me every time I tried to get close :(.  Kyle found a new apartment so he showed me pictures of that and then I went to sleep!  I'm so glad to be home!

Today was not a good day in the life of Lisa.  I woke up feeling a little nauseous so I decided not to take a shower.  I decided I should probably eat breakfast even though I wasn't hungry just in case I got hungry later.  So I ate breakfast and then went to cinema.  It wasn't that bad today because we just talked about the movie we watched last Thursday.  I went back to my room afterwards and then I studied for German.  Maritza came in soon after I got back and she had to quickly leave and when she left, I heard her lock the door...she locked me in our room hahaha.  I took a picture of our locked door because Maritza is obsessed with locking our door even when we're in the room and I've called her out on it a few times but locking it while I was sitting inside was just crazay.  I was getting super nauseous again and I still wasn't hungry so I decided not to go to lunch.  I went to German and went through a phase where I thought I was going to puke but I didn't and eventually I felt okay.  Then I went back to my room and quick ate something just in case I would get hungry later but I still felt like crap.  Then I went to rhetoric where we were assigned another paper and a presentation that we have to do after break...ugh.  I still felt nauseous when I went to my cinema screening.  We were watching Minority Report today which I was excited about because I've heard good things about the movie.  I felt super terrible at the start of the movie and it wasn't going away so eventually I decided to just leave.  I barely made it through a half hour of the movie.  The walk back to my room was the longest walk of my life.  I seriously thought I was gonna puke about five times.  I kept veering towards the grass in case I had to throw up but I made it back to my room puke free.  Maritza was sleeping when I got back so I climbed in bed and passed out.  I think I eventually had a fever because I was freezing and my whole body was aching.  I kept going in and out of sleep and this went on for about four hours before I finally got super hot and thirsty and I climbed out of my bed and I felt somewhat okay.  I took some Tylenol and then I started my German homework because it was due at midnight.  I really wanted to do my laundry tonight but I thought that was a bad idea so I didn't.  By the time I was ready to go to bed, I was feeling so much better and I wasn't that tired but I managed to fall asleep anyway.  I'm just glad that happened today and not tomorrow when I'll be stuck on a bus for 4 hours!

Nothing really happened to me today so I took a picture of mine and Kelley's text message.  I only had German and stars and galaxies today  Since yesterday was so busy, I didn't do any homework so instead I planned on doing all my homework tonight.  My German homework ended up taking me way longer than I planned it would.  Maritza was MIA when I got back from class so I just started on my homework and I was still doing German by the time she reappeared and we went and got lunch.  I was pretty frustrated with German but eventually I finished it and I did my other homework.  I had to finish reading Outliers for rhetoric which is supposedly a really good book but since we had to dissect it and call him on his crap, it wasn't actually that great.  While I was doing homework, Kelley texted me and my phone made a really weird autocorrect....it changed boop to VoIP....I'm not sure what that is or why my phone has that saved in its memory so that was weird....also, I like Kelley's last text in this shot because it makes me laugh :).  After I somewhat finished my homework, I ironed the shirt I wanted to wear tomorrow and then I went to bed.  The end.

The greatest thing happened to me today!!!  I woke up today thinking "I should just ditch class" but no.  I got out of bed and took a shower and ate breakfast with Maritza.  I went back to the room after breakfast and I got my stuff and I headed to class.  Right before I walked in the building, a girl in my class told me class was canceled.  She said there was a note on the door that said our teacher was sick and that we should check our e-mails.  So I walked all the way back to my room and checked my e-mail!  And class was canceled!!  It was so wonderful.  I decided to spend that time I working on my essay since it was due today.  So I printed off my essay and then went to lunch.  After that, I had German and then I quickly ran back to my room to register for classes!!!  I took a screen shot of my schedule but blogger won't let me upload it so I'll just tell you that it looks wonderful.  I was able to get all the classes I wanted so far.  Right now, for some reason, my Monday classes aren't showing up and I'm not taking classes on Friday so it looks like I have a five day weekend haha.  Also, I'm currently only taking 14 hours because the maximum amount of hours we can sign up for during early registration is 16 hours and the last class I want to take is 3 semester hours so that puts me over...so I have to wait until some time in December to sign up for that class.  After quickly registering for classes, I had to go to rhetoric which was pretty fun today.  We went around the room telling the class what we wrote our papers on.  I was the third person to go and we probably spent 45 minutes debating my topic haha...it was pretty great.  Needless to say, we did not get through everybody in the class.  But it was still pretty fun and some of the topics we talked about were funny.
After rhetoric, I went back to my room and waited for Maritza to get back because we had plans to go swimming together.  I did not do any homework because I'm officially on Thanksgiving break and I don't feel like it haha.  Maritza had meetings and such so by the time she got back we didn't have time to go swimming which is all right because it was cold outside and I was feeling lazy (surprise surprise).  Instead, she registered for classes and we're taking a class together next semester!!!!!!!!!!  I'm so happy because it was the class I was most nervous about since it's fiction writing and people are going to judge me hahaha but now I have a friend.  We went to dinner and then we hung out in the room until 7:20ish so that we could catch a bus to take us to the other side of the river!!
Last night, our morale captain for dance marathon (speaking of dance marathon...here's a link to the page if you want to donate :)))) My Page!  I need to get a start on my fundraising....) anyway, our morale captain told us through facebook that the person we're dancing for is in town getting surgery on his leg and that our captain was allowed to bring ten people to the hospital with him!  So Maritza and I said we wanted to go.  We took a bus over to the field house and then we met up with our group and we walked to the hospital.
The kid we're dancing for isn't really a kid because he's 14.  He was diagnosed with bone cancer when he was 8 and after surgery and chemo he has remained cancer free for about 3 1/2 years!  He has to get surgery on his legs for certain reasons.  We were able to meet him and his parents and his mom told us the whole story and how dance marathon has helped their life and it was wonderful!  We were there for an hour and half just talking to them and then we had to leave.
When we got back on the bus to go home, first of all, we had no idea what bus we got on but it was alright because it took us back to our dorm, second of all, we decided to just pass out instead of doing anything so that's what we did!  Yay!

Today was cold which is why I'm making my grumpy face :(.  I took a shower at 9:30 and then I was just hanging out in my room waiting until lunch.  Eventually Maritza came back from class and she was just about to leave for another class when we heard an alarm go off.  It was, of course, the fire alarm.  I didn't have shoes or a jacket on so I quickly put on shoes without socks and my jacket and we left the building.  People were walking out of their rooms putting on clothes while we were leaving haha.  When we got outside, Maritza left to go to her class and the rest of us were all freezing.  Of course the fire drill had to go off on the first day that the weather decided to be winter.  We all decided to go over to the dining hall and stand in there instead of standing in the cold so that's what we did until we were allowed to go back in our rooms.  I quickly put socks on and then I went to eat lunch.  After that, I went to German and then stars and galaxies and then I headed over to the library to work on my essay.  I was later joined by my stars and galaxies friend in the library but then she had class.  Eventually I got hungry so I walked back to my room.  It was so freezing walking back.  My face was so cold so I took this picture because my cheeks were super red but you can't tell in the picture.  Weather.com said it was 35 degrees outside but it said it felt like 25 degrees.  The wind was terrible...otherwise it wouldn't have been that bad.  After I got back, we went to dinner and then I worked on my homework for the rest of the night.  By 10 I was starving so I ate some saltines and then Maritza came back from wherever she disappeared to for a while and then we decided to go to bed and I decided to give up on my essay.  Yay.

Today was the last day of family weekend.  I woke up in the hotel room and then we went and ate continental breakfast.  After that, I showered and then we just laid around the hotel room until it was time to check out.  We walked around town for a while trying to find Iowa sweatpants that satisfied my sweatpant needs but we failed in that department.  Then we went out to eat at Which Wich which is a sandwich place in Iowa City.  I've been wanting to try it for a while since two people I know recommended it to me.  It was super good and if you have a Which Wich by you (I don't know if it's a chain or not), I recommend you go and eat at it.  I took a picture of my bag for my POD.  You get to choose pretty much whatever you want to go on your sandwich which means that it is extra awesome.  We also got shakes from there too which were just as great! (Count how many times I say "Which" in this post....) Anyway, after lunch and a few more attempts at trying to find sweatpants, we went back to my room and I said bye to Mom and Dad.  It was a great weekend!
After that, I planned on doing a whole bunch of homework but I sat down to start my German homework and realized I was tired so instead I took a nap for two hours.  Then I gave up on doing my German homework since it was time consuming and I started revising my essay.  Most of my night consisted of me staring off into space trying to avoid my homework.  I did get some stuff done but it was not as much as I would have liked to get done.  Eventually, Maritza came back at around 11 and we had weekend stories to tell and when that was over, I decided to just give up on trying to do any homework.  We soon decided to go to sleep so that's what we did.  It was a great end to a great weekend!  Only five more days and I'm back home!!!!!

Today I went to my first football game!!!  I woke up at 7:30 in the hotel room and we took showers and then we went to eat our continental breakfast.  We wanted to go to this tailgating thing hosted by the family weekend people but by the time we parked and walked over to the field, there was no time left.  Dad was stoked because today was the Marines' birthday so he was positive that they were going to do a fly over at half time.  So he was looking forward to that all day.  When we got to the gate to get into the football stadium, the people told Mom her purse was too big so we had to go check it in at a purse check-in station. When we were standing back in line to get into the stadium, the national anthem was playing and people started cheering and then all of a sudden two air plane things flew over the stadium....sooooo Dad missed his fly over :(  SORRY DAD!  It took a while to get inside and to find our seats but we did eventually.  It was a super nice day outside because it was about 70 degrees outside.  The game was a black out but some people didn't get the memo.  It still looked cool though!  So we watched the game.  It was against Purdue.  There was a random time where it started pouring out of nowhere but that only lasted for about a minute and then it was warm again.  It was really funny watching all the people put their sweatshirts on really fast haha.
I took this picture of the band during half-time.  I think this is them in the shape of a Tigerhawk but I'm not really sure....they were facing the other direction.  I don't really understand football but I know enough to clap and cheer when other people clap and cheer :)  and I understand touchdowns!
We decided to leave a few minutes before the game was over to beat the crowd and at that time, the game was tied.  After we got Mom's purse, we stood in the street where you could see the scoreboard and the screen that showed you what was happening.  It was tied until the last second when Purdue scored a field goal and won by three points...boo :(.  Oh well.  It was still a nice game!
After that, we were starving so we went to the Hamburg Inn which was recommended to Mom and Dad by a guy they work with and recommended to me by my RA.  It was a small little restaurant but the food was really good!  I enjoyed it very much.
After that, we decided to go to the mall and walk around to kill some time.  Mom did Christmas shopping and it was great.  When we were all really tired from walking so much, we went back to my dorm room and chilled until it was time to go to the IMU.  There was a family feud thing going on so we went to that.  I didn't want to participate because I don't like being in front of crowds but it was still entertaining to watch everybody else!  Here's a picture:

The winning team won $200 and it was whoever got the most points during their round.  There were a few rounds of families that went but the people in the first round won and it's the family on the right in the picture. After that, we went back to the hotel room and passed out.

Today was pretty great.  I woke up an hour later than I wanted to but it was all good because I still made it to my teacher's office hours before they were over.  The shower was actually hot today which made me super happy!!  After the office hours, I got lunch and then I said bye to Maritza because she went home this weekend.  After I said bye, I went to German and stars and galaxies.  Then I went back to my room and sat around until Mom texted me and said they were on their way to my dorm.  They came in this weekend for family weekend and so I met up with them.  We had to check-in to get all our tickets to everything and then we went to eat.  We went to Panchero's which is a Mexican restaurant thing that is kind of like Chipotle except legit.  After that, we decided to walk around town for a little bit to kill some time and then at 7 we went and saw a magician!  He was more like a comedian but he did do some magic stuff.  He was really funny.  I took this picture which I like because there's confetti.  When the confetti happened, he magically put on a tie but I did not get a picture of the tie being put on!!  He did some other stuff mostly with cards and then the show was over :(.  His name was Joseph Tran.  He used to be a stunt double on Power Rangers or something so that was cool haha.
After the show, we went back to my room so that I could pack to stay overnight with Mom and Dad in their hotel room.  We went to their hotel and then fell asleep pretty quickly.  Yay!

So nothing happened today which is why I took a picture of my board on my door!  I drew this at the start of November and Maritza and I have been changing it every day to count down until Thanksgiving!  The Spongebob was drawn by Elle a very long time ago so I decided to preserve it because it's cool.
So I had cinema this morning which wasn't that bad because he showed a weird clip and it was actually kind of cool and then three people gave presentations.  After that, I went back to my room and chilled before going to German.  After German, I ate lunch and then went to rhetoric which was fine because all we did was talk about Lady Gaga and then one chapter in the book we're reading.  Then I had the screening for my cinema class.  We watched Happy Together which is on the bottom of the list of great movies we watched this semester.  I disliked it.  It was a foreign movie which would have been fine with subtitles but I was lost the whole time and I kept getting the characters confused.  Also, it was supposed to be a sad movie but I was not sad because I just wanted it to be over.  After that, I went back to my room and tried not to fall asleep waiting for Maritza to get back.  When she did come back, she brought half a pizza with her from the meeting thing she was at so I ate that for dinner.  Then I did my German homework before going to bed...yay!

So I had no idea what I was going to take a picture of today.  I had an average day.  I woke up at 9 and took a really cold shower which I was warned about before I went to take the shower.  Then I studied for my German quiz.  I met up with Maritza for lunch and then I went to German.  We spent most of the class going over the stuff on the quiz and we almost got out of taking it today but then my teacher decided we had all the information fresh in our minds and we should take it today.  So we took it with ten minutes left of class.  Which means I got out 5 minutes early!  So I went to stars and galaxies and chilled.  After stars and galaxies, I was done for the day so I went back to my room to do German homework from yesterday and today.  At one point, I tried to take a nap but it was very uncomfortable and too many people were talking outside my room so I decided to give up on procrastinating and just finish my German homework.  It took me until 10:30ish to finally finish everything...boo.  During my German homework, I had these problems to complete!  The second question made me soo happy so I took a screen shot of it :)  And the creepy thing is that Billy Joel is playing on my iTunes right now as I write this!  I didn't even choose it!  It just came on!  Cray.  I would have to disagree with my German homework, though.  I think Billy Joel fits in perfectly with classical composers :)  And just for the record, my German homework isn't always this easy haha.  After my German homework, I went to bed.

Happy election day!  I hope you voted if you're allowed to!  This morning I woke up at 8 and dragged myself out of bed to take a really cold shower.  Normally the showers are only coldish around 9 and when I shower at 8, they're usually pretty warm.  Today, however, the water wasn't even putting in the effort.  I just gave up on trying to be warm :( boo.  Then I had breakfast and cinema.  When I got back to my room, I had to finish up the final paragraphs of my essay and then I went to lunch and German.  After German, I printed off my essay and then went to rhetoric.  We only had to turn in a rough draft today and we workshopped other people's essays in class so it went really fast.  After that, I had a meeting with my advisor about my classes for next semester and he approved all the classes I chose which means if I can get them all, I won't have Friday classes!!!  Then I went back to my room and sat down to do my German homework but I realized I didn't want to do it.  I ended up answering one question and then I decided to take a nap while Maritza showered and then we went to dinner.  When we got to the dining hall, there were a ton more people than usual and when we got inside, I realized everything was decorated in red white and blue because the dining hall was having a fancy election dinner.  The only that meant was that it was super crowded and the cards that had the name of the food were fancy...that's all...the food was the same haha.  I had a sandwich.  Maritza decided she wanted ice cream but instead when she came back, she had a cupcake and it was fancy!!!  So I took a picture of it and then I went and got one too which was chocolate with white frosting.  It was super good and made me happy.  Before that, this was going to be my POD:

As you can see, when I got back from my advisor meeting, Maritza left me a note that she was going running and I threw it out and it landed on top of all my candy wrappers...boo.  It made me feel great haha.  It actually made me laugh.
When we got back from dinner, I helped Maritza build her schedule for next semester since I didn't feel like doing German homework.  Then I decided to look up the election results and that was a mistake since I didn't do anything the rest of the night except watch the live stream on youtube...I had a quiz to study for...oh well (go Obama!).  I stayed up to listen to his speech which I missed the beginning of because I turned away for one second!  Then I went to bed.  Yay!

Today was not very interesting.  I woke up at 8 to work more on my paper but decided to go back to bed instead.  My showers have been pretty cold lately which makes me sad because I love hot showers and I can't have them :(.  After my cold shower, I worked on workshopping some essays that were due today and then I went to lunch.  After lunch I had German and on my way to stars and galaxies afterwards, I noticed that all the trees along the road had sweaters!!!!! I took a picture which wasn't very good.  After stars and galaxies, I went to Ragstock to buy my favorite sister some leggings and I noticed that those trees had sweaters too so I took a bunch of pictures!!!  This is the picture that turned out the best and you can acutally see the cute sweaters :).  Most of the trees were really skinny so these trees are an exception.  They were all hand knitted and wrapped around the trees and held together with zip ties.  Some had feathers and other cool stuff in them.  It was really cool to walk down a whole road lined with sweatered trees!!!!  Maritza said that they were wearing sweaters yesterday but I didn't really go outside much...or at least not in that part of town so I didn't see.  After my excitement of seeing warm trees, I went back to my room and worked on German homework.  Then I had writing commons where we spent the whole class period discussing other people's essays.  When that class was over, I got dinner and then I spent the rest of the night working on my rhetoric essay!  Yay for basing a whole blog post off of trees with sweaters!

Happy Daylight Savings Day!  I hoped you turned your clocks back an hour or you're screwed!!  This morning, I woke up and took a shower.  Maritza went to church so I decided to start writing my annotated bibliography!  I got pretty far and then Maritza came back and we went to lunch.  Then I worked more on my bibliography.   At 3:30, I had a meeting that I went to for the campus' radio station.  It was kind of awkward because they've already been doing it for a while and I was new so I had no idea what was going on.  When I got back to my room, I did some of my other homework and then I ate dinner.  For writing commons, we had to listen to a podcast which was almost an hour long.  It was crazy because the research I've been doing all day has to do with deaf people and then when I went to listen to the podcast, it started off talking about deaf people and I felt like I was never getting away from rhetoric haha.  I took a screen shot of the podcast's page because 1) it looks cool and 2) it was a pretty great podcast...I laughed a lot throughout it.  After that, I stalled doing the rest of my homework before I convinced myself that I could do it later so instead I just kind of sat around and did nothing!  Yay!  Then I went to bed.

Today had an unexpected turn of events when Maritza decided she wanted to do something with her life haha.  I woke up at like 10:30 which was amazing and then we went and got breakfast.  After breakfast, we just chilled in our room.  I worked on my research paper hardcore and got a lot done I guess...except I didn't actually start my paper...I just found all the sources I need.  Then we decided to go to lunch.  At lunch, Maritza had the idea of going to the mall!!!  So we went back to our room and got ready and then went to go wait for the bus.  We had a nice shopping day.  Maritza's goal was to find new running shoes so we went into a sports store and she looked for shoes.  Since she's so little, she wears children shoes which I find hilarious so I took a picture of her looking at the shoes in the size 3 1/2 - 7 section.  They didn't have her size in the shoes she wanted so we left empty handed.  We walked around the mall and bought some things.  Then we went to Target and looked at more things.  We decided we should leave so that we could make it back in time for dinner since we both had extra meal swipes.  We were waiting for the bus and I looked up when the next bus was supposed to come and my phone told me 40 minutes and we realized we wouldn't make it back in time for dinner so we decided to eat at the mall.  We went to Panera which was the best decision ever.  And I got something new!  Which is unlike me :)  And it was really good!  I also got a water cup so that my drink was free!  Yay!  We ate our delicious dinners and then we finished just in time to catch the next bus back to campus.  Once we got dropped off, we decided to go to the redbox in the IMU to rent movies for the night.  We got What to Expect When You're Expecting and Think Like  Man.  They were both really funny, and I recommend both of them.  Especially What to Expect When You're Expecting if you love babies and cute things.  Then we went to bed.  It was a pretty unproductive day of greatness!

I love Fridays!!!  I woke up this morning and decided to spend my morning working on my schedule for next semester so that's what I did.  My grand result is having 17 hours and no Friday classes!!!!  That's what I was going for!  I really hope this schedule works out because I would love to have a three day weekend every week!  After that, Maritza and I went to lunch then I had German.  Since we had a fire drill thing in the beginning of class yesterday, my teacher let us finish part of the test today so that's what we did in the beginning of class.  After the test, we played Clue in real life and in German.  It was really confusing because we didn't have cards or anything so we were all just wandering around the classroom not finding any clues to help us and then randomly getting candy which was in the middle of the room.  The guessing part was also weird.  After that, I had stars and galaxies where we learned about the different types of galaxies that exist.  Then I went straight to the library to have a productive day!!!!  I spent most of the day researching articles for my paper and I was having a terrible time and then all of a sudden I found an amazing article online and I almost cried from happiness because it was so amazing!!!!!  Then I worked on cinema to get that out of life and then I went to the IMU and picked Maritza up so we could go to dinner.  After dinner, we decided to check our mail.  We had many many letters in our mailbox which was the most exciting thing ever so I took a picture of it!  Upon inspection, we saw that most of it was addressed to people who wasn't us but previous residents and then other stuff was just voting stuff so it wasn't all that exciting :(.  We went to the front desk to ask about what to do about letters that weren't for us and then we asked if they had the board game Clue because I felt like playing it but they didn't :(.  We went back to our room and Maritza did homework while I chilled and then we decided to have a movie night!!  We watched The Matrix because Maritza picked it up when she went home.  I liked it....it was very intense.  Then we decided to pop popcorn and watch New York, I Love You which is like Love Actually but nothing comes together at the end.  Then we went to bed.

Happy November!!!!!!!  First off, let me just start off by apologizing to this girl in the picture....sorry, girl, for taking a picture while you were making that face.  So I spent the day alone today.  I woke up against my will at 8 and went against my will to my cinema class.  He decided to show us experimental films which basically made me want to kill myself.  It was pretty much people taking already made films and slowing them down and repeating things and putting things backwards and flashing strobe like stuff across the screen.  I had to close my eyes while watching most of it because it hurt too much to watch.  And because I closed my eyes...I started falling asleep hahaha.  Then people gave presentations and it was a relief.  After that, I went back to my room and ate lunch while I studied for my German test.  I left for German and while I approached the building, everybody was standing outside.  So I took a picture.  Fire trucks and such arrived.  Apparently the fire alarm went off or something so we all just chilled outside while the time to take my test slowly ticked away.  But it was all good.  I finished pretty much right before class ended and I was like the second one done so I hope everybody else did okay.  Then I went back to my room to do nothing for a little bit before going to rhetoric.  A guy talked to us about how to find specific articles that we need for our next paper.  Then I met with my teacher shortly to talk about my next paper and then I went to my cinema screening.  We watched Hard Eight today which started off fine and then I started zoning out and by the time it was done, I realized I just wasted an hour and a half of my life......save yourself...don't watch it.  Then I went back to my room and got frustrated.
I decided to look up classes for next semester but that just frustrated me because I didn't want to take most of the classes that were offered and when I did find one, ratemyproffesor told me they weren't that great of teachers...boo.  Then I decided to give up and look for articles for my paper but that completely failed.  Then I decided to do my German homework and I got most of it done but I didn't feel like putting in the effort for some of it so I gave up with that too.  The rest of my night has been spent sitting around waiting for Maritza to come home so I can throw her a welcome home party (not really).  I just didn't want to already be sleeping when she got here.   And now she's home and I'm going to bed.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  Today was wholly unexciting.  I woke up and Maritza had already left for classes.  She left me a note saying she probably wouldn't see me before she left to go home.  I got lunch and then I went to German and then stars and galaxies.  After that, I locked myself in my room :)  I decided to study for my German test tomorrow and since Kelley sent me a movie in my Halloween package, I decided I would watch by my lonesome on Halloween.  So I pretty much just laid around and pretended to study and then I went to dinner.  When I came back from dinner, I actually did study.  Then around 10 I decided it was time to start the movie.  I took a picture of my Halloween for one which can be seen above...a movie, popcorn, and candy...it was great :)  The movie finished around midnight and then I decided to study some more for German before going to bed.  I hope your Halloween was more exciting than mine!!

Hello world.  Today I woke up 30 minutes later than I wanted to.  So I didn't take a shower :)  Instead I went to breakfast and then to class which was terrible.  I wanted to fall asleep the whole time and it was so drawn out and boring and my teacher kept asking us questions and we were all just staring at him...ugh.  But we did end up getting our papers back for that class and I got a B/B+!!  Yay!  That was a relief seeing as I was super stressed about that paper.  Then I went back to my room and decided to take a quick nap before going to lunch.  After lunch, I headed to German which was more exciting than cinema for many reasons such as that teacher is a lot cooler.  We talked about our test on Thursday and we also learned some new thing.  After that, I went back to my dorm to print something off and then I headed to rhetoric.  We had a library day in rhetoric today.  When we got to class, she handed us our papers and I got an A-!  I was super happy about that because I wasn't sure if it was okay or not.  Then we walked over to the library and she let us loose to go research for our next paper. We were supposed to be having one-on-one meetings with her that she scheduled throughout the class but it got super backed up so I didn't get to have mine.  Instead, I just talked to a few people in my class.
After that, I went back to my room and waited for Maritza to come home and we did laundry.  I did my German homework while my laundry was being did.  Then we went back upstairs and headed out to town.  First we went to an art store, then we went to Ragstock.  We had a literary Halloween party tonight and Maritza either wanted to go as The Raven or Holden Caulfield.  At Blick we looked for black feathers but they didn't have any so the guy directed us to Ragstock so we could look for a red hunting hat but we couldn't find one.  While we were walking around, Maritza ran into a raven Venetian mask and we found a headband with feathers so she bought that and went back to being The Raven.
Last night, Elle came in our room and we brainstormed ideas for costumes.  I decided to be The Book Thief because I had black clothes and books.  So after our trip into town, we got dressed.  Then we went to the party where there was pizza from a legit pizza place down town.  There was a scary story napkin contest that had to be turned in on Monday but I didn't do it but the winners were announced and they read their stories and then they got prizes.  Then we did a costume contest and Ernest Hemingway won.  Then we went back to our room and we took pictures together as seen above.  We were also dying of laughter the whole time for various reasons, one of which is because Maritza's beak poked me in the face when I ran over to her haha.  Then I put my laundry away and we just sat around chilling...yay!  Now I want to go to bed but of course I'm wide awake hahaha...boo.

Whenever it seems like I will not have a picture for my day, someone always makes sure I do!!!  My picture did not come until about 8 tonight!  I'll tell the story in a second.
First, I woke up at 9 and was super tired so I took a shower.  Then I studied for a little bit and decided to go lay back down in bed because I was still tired.  I ended up falling asleep and then waking up early enough to go to lunch.  The dining hall was crazay today because of college visits and such.  People were seriously going crazy trying to put their trays on the conveyor belt thing.  A guy was going down the line taking the silver ware off and people were tracking to stack trays on top of each other....it was insane!  Then I went to German and then stars and galaxies where we talked about the universe and we started talking about life somewhere else in the universe.  At one point, my professor was talking about how if there was other life, they might be smarter than us and just hiding from us so we wouldn't be able to find them.  He followed that statement (which sounded more scholarly than that) up with this quote (which isn't exact) "if I was an alien, I wouldn't want humans all up in my galactic universe" hahaha we all laughed...it was great.
Then I went back to my room and did my German homework before setting out for my writing commons class.  We did three writing prompt things today in class which took up a whole lot of our time.  When that was done, we talked about the readings we had and then we only had time to talk about one of the workshops we did over the weekend before it was time to go.  When I got back to my room, I waited for Maritza to get done showering and we went to dinner.
While in dinner, Kelley asked me if we checked our mail lately so we did that after dinner and I had a package slip!!!!!!  I went to the front desk and got my package.  Here is me holding it:

So cute!!!!!!  There were a bunch of little confettis of vampires and mummies and Frankensteins and cats that were floating around and in everything.  She sent me a card, cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, Monster House, snickers, a tiny notebook, and cute sticky decoration things.  I hung up the decorations on our mirror and sprinkled some confetti on my dresser and ate a few cookies :).  It was all pretty great.  Then I decided to work on some homework....and now I'm writing this!  Yay!  It was a great end to my day!

I did nothing today...that's all......
No really.  Since I was up into the wee hours of the morning watching HPot, I was surprised when I woke up at 8:30 and wasn't tired.  Maritza had a competition thing for rowing all day so I was by myself.  I went to breakfast, and then I took a shower.  After my shower, I decided to do my German homework.  Little did I know that it would take me forever.  I started at 11ish and then went to lunch around 1ish and didn't really finish until 3ish I would say.  It really sucked :( boo.  Then I started on my writing commons homework which was boring.  I was debating on whether or not to take a nap when Maritza came back.  Once I finished my writing commons homework, I printed it off and then we both laid down to take a nap but I just kind of chilled in my bed doing nothing because I couldn't fall asleep.  Then when I "woke up" I decided to eat dinner.  I spent the rest of the day doing other homework and talking with Maritza and not leaving my room.....it was quite a boring day.
At one point during the day, I decided to open my window and that's when I saw the rowing people go down the river!  The boats are kind of hard to see in this picture but if you look hard enough, you'll see two of them!  So I took a picture...because that was the only excitement that happened to me today.  The end.

Today I did nothing...Yay!  I slept in for a while and then Maritza and I went to lunch.  I had plans of going to the library but my computer was dying and sometimes it's hard to find an outlet at the library so I waited until my computer was charged.  In the mean time, I decided to read two essays that I had for homework but they were super boring so I ended up falling asleep instead.  When I woke up, I decided I needed to get out of bed and do something with my life so I packed up my stuff and went to the library.  While I was there, I started to look through the homework I had and I realized it all required more effort than I felt like giving so instead I worked on an essay that's not due for a while and by the time I was done with that, I went back to my room so that we could head over to dinner.  After dinner, I decided to watch a movie but Maritza wanted to study and do homework so I had to watch a movie by myself :(  I decided to watch Harry Potter 1&2 because I hadn't seen the second one in a while and it was great but they ended up taking until about 2 in the morning to finish haha.  While I was watching the movies, Elle came in our room to show off her outfit. She went as Clark Kent and looked adorable!  So I took a picture of her since she's the coolest thing that happened to me today haha.

I did not feel like waking up this morning because I'm sick...boo.  But I had to get up at 9 because the people start cleaning our bathrooms at 9:45 and they don't stop until 11:20ish...so I had to get up to take a shower.  After my shower, I started to get a migraine which sucks so I climbed back in bed and fell asleep for an hour haha.  I decided to wear Justin's shirt today which he gave me when I visited so I took a picture of that.  After I woke up from my nap, Maritza and I went to lunch.  After lunch, I went to German and then stars and galaxies where I learned I may or may not have gotten an A on the test depending on the curve!  That makes me excited.  It turns out me and my stars and galaxies friend go the same grade which is a strange coincidence haha.  After stars and galaxies, I went back to my room and realized I still had zero homework that needed to be done so I laid in bed and did nothing.  Maritza went to practice and I think I fell asleep again.  When she got back, we went to dinner where there were amazing rolls that I was obsessed with.  In the dining hall's lounge place, I saw a lot of people dressed up for Halloween...some outfits were nice but most weren't.  After dinner, I did the same thing as before dinner and then we decided to watch Inception.  That was the second time I watched the movie and it made a lot more sense this time around.  Afterwards, we went to bed.  Yay!

Today was Thursday which is my least favorite day of the week class-wise.  I had breakfast and then cinema which was funny because my TA showed a clip from a movie to represent continuity editing of something and then a girl gave a presentation on the guy that produced that movie and she showed the same clip hahaha.  It was pretty great.  Then I went back to my room and chilled before going to lunch and German.  Then I had rhetoric and we got out 15 minutes early which would have been exciting except I have a class at 3:30 right next door and I got out at 3 instead of 3:15 so I had nothing to do for a half hour.  The viewing we had for our cinema class was Unforgiven which was fine except too drawn out.  I found myself zoning out because the conversations were boring and took forever to get to the point.  When I got back to my room, I waited for Maritza to get back from practice and then we went to dinner.  After dinner, she showed me her gear for rowing that she picked up today.  She was like Mary Poppins taking all the clothes out of her bag.  The bag was small...as seen in the POD but the clothes just kept coming.  This picture doesn't accurately show how much clothes she actually got but it was a whole lot...and it was all black.
After she took a shower and I did nothing because I had zero homework that was urgent, we decided we wanted to watch Fight Club which she had on her computer.  It turned out that the movie wouldn't work so instead we decided to watch Good Luck Chuck which has Dane Cook so it was funny but inappropriate.  When that was over, we went to bed.

So disregard my last message...for some reason, the screenshot I took for my POD would not upload so instead I took a picture of the picture and uploaded that haha.  So I woke up at 8 today to study for a few more hours before my test.  Maritza and I got lunch and then I went to German where I took a quiz and then I went to stars and galaxies to take my test.  It was okay.  I felt better than last time I guess and I also took longer to finish this test.  After that, I went back to my room and decided to take a nap.  I woke up at 6:45ish and I thought it was the morning and I had a fake conversation with Maritza in my head about me being late to class or something, but then I realized it was still the same day.  Maritza came back soon and we went to dinner together.  I felt super nauseous and dinner and I was still out of it from my nap.  When we got back to our room, I decided to start the homework I should have been doing.  While I was doing my homework, Maritza read this e-mail that she received.  She went home this weekend and took a bus there and the bus was supposed to stop at two malls and her destination was the second mall.  Apparently the bus driver got lost on the way to the first mall and a lot of people got mad and such and the bus company e-mailed Maritza about it and it cracks me up.  I'll read it to you since it's kind of hard to read from this picture.  The yellow boxes are the important parts of the e-mail that are funny"
Box 1: "Last Friday, your bus was provided by Scenic Stages, of IL.  Ted, the driver, missed the exit and then made matters much, much worse by getting on [a road].  Had Ted called our dispatcher, which is what he was supposed to do if he got in a pinch, we would have had him turn around at [another road], and he would have been to [the mall] in a Jiffy."
Box 2: "If you'd like to complain to the people who directly supervise Ted, the lost driver, please give Scenic a call at...We're sure they will benefit from hearing your opinion of a bus driver who can't find his way to a giant suburban mall that's right off the highway."
Box 3: "We guarantee you will never have to ride with Ted again, because we have banned him."  
I don't know if it's just me but I think they're being a little harsh.............
We had a good laugh about this e-mail and then I decided to start my reading at 11:30 and I realized I had to read almost 100 pages hahaha...oops.  I wasn't tired though since I took a nap so I was up for a while before I went to bed.

The last thing I felt like doing today was waking up to go to my cinema class.  But I went.  And it was okay because we just talked about the movie the whole time and then a guy gave a presentation.  We watched a few movie clips and then we were able to go.  It suddenly got hot again in Iowa City and also extremely humid.  After lunch and German, I came back to our room and Maritza had turned the air on and it felt so magical.  Our heat has been turned on since it was cold a few weeks ago and our heat is super hot and our room was like a bubble of hotness and it was miserable.  So the air felt amazing.  I had rhetoric and then I went back to my room to settle in for the night studying my head off for my stars and galaxies test.  My class got out at 3:15 and I only left my studying spot on the floor to eat dinner and for the few minutes a girl down the hall asked us about Lady M.  While studying, I came across the paragraph that I took a picture of.  I whited out the surrounding sentences so it's easier to read which is why it looks like there is a big white space between the picture and my post.....anyway.  The paragraph made me laugh because it was way too deep for a science textbook.  Hahaha I read it out loud to Maritza and we both think the author is cray.  I also interjected my study time by texting Carlee!!  It was great.  I ended up going to bed at 2 because I didn't feel like studying anymore.

Today was not that exciting.  It actually kind of sucked because it was Monday :(  But Mondays aren't that bad.  I decided I wanted to wake up early to get some studying hours in for my stars and galaxies test on Wednesday but I ended up turning off my alarm and just sleeping.  Maritza and I went to lunch and then I had German and stars and galaxies where we learned that gravity actually doesn't exist or something...and that time moves slower for people traveling at the speed of light or something...hahaha the concept was really hard to grasp but it basically blew everybody's mind.
I went back to my room and decided to do my German homework before I had to go to my writing commons class.  I did not feel like going to my class since I felt like I should be spending the 1 hour and 40 minutes studying for my test but I stuck it out.  I was not hungry for dinner and Maritza was not feeling well so we just decided to not go to dinner.  I met up with Sara for a few seconds to give her her nanner muffins and then I headed to the library to spend my night.  I spent time finishing my German homework and doing cinema homework when what I really wanted to do was study for my test.  I didn't get to studying until a few hours later and I took this picture of the beautiful stuff I was learning.  Eventually, I got really hungry so I went back to my room and ate soup and stayed up for a few more hours studying on my floor.  And then I went to bed.

Today was pretty wonderful.  For starters, it was the most beautiful day in the history of ever.  When we woke up, Kelley decided to make banana nut muffins which were wonderful!!  Here is a picture of her being a mommy:

Aww...if you ever want banana nut muffins, go to Kelley's apartmento.  After we showered and got dressed and stuff like that, we headed out for our pumpkin patch adventure!  Mom and Dad wanted to go to lunch so they called Kelley to go to the pumpkin patch which they said was supposed to be really good and it happened to be the same pumpkin patch that Kelley really wanted to visit so we decided we would go there for lunch!
We picked Katie up because she was in town and then we drove over to the pumpkin patch!  It was seriously the cutest place in the world.  It had a Wizard of Oz theme which was cute.  The little cafe was called The Flying Monkeys and the food was super good.  Here is the whole group waiting in line to eat:

We got to watch them make donuts which were also really good.  After we ate, we walked around the gift shop, then we went outside and I found baby pumpkins which was my goal of the day.  I really wanted little pumpkins to put in my room so I bought three of them.  Here I am cleaning my pumpkins off because they were dirtay:

If I look super happy it's because I was.  Then we walked around before we found where to find the corn maze!  I like corn mazes that are legit mazes so I was really excited.  Mom and Dad decided to leave to go back home before we went into the maze so we said goodbye to them and bought our tokens for the maze!:

The guy at the entrance handed us little green cards to mark at different areas and if we got the whole card filled out, we got a choice to do one other thing without having to get tokens!!  Spoiler alert:  we filled out the whole card.
The corn towards the edge of the maze was super short and we were taller than it so it wasn't that difficult of the maze...especially since the exit was the same as the entrance.  Here's us walking in the maze:

The marker stations were a post of wood with a hole drilled in it and a highligher/white board marker sticking out of the hole...we had to mark our cards like so:

There was also a tower in the middle of the maze which was pretty much cheating because you could go up there and then see where the people were clumped where they were marking their cards.  We took a picture at the top of the tower and then we explored the rest of the maze before finding the last post.  Here is our finished card:

As you can see, some of the markers worked and some didn't.  We decided to use our free token on the hayride after much consideration between that and the giant blow up slide.  The tractor ride was nice...it just kind of rode out to the pumpkin patch and then it turned around and went back the same way.  There were a lot of cute kids there.  After that, we took a picture on the yellow brick road and then in the giant chair which is my POD and then we left.  We dropped Katie off and then we went back to Kelley's apartment.  Sara and I got our stuff together and then we were on our way back to Iowa.  I did some homework in the car and then soon I was back in my room.  Maritza arrived a few hours later.  I finally started studying for my test and we talked about our weekends and then we went to bed!

Today I was woken by my parents walking threw Kelley's front door!  That was at about 8:30ish.  Mom surprised us by bringing a bunch of food with her.  We both got a huge bag full of snack foods and then a Halloween basket full of candy!  Even though it's extremely dangerous, YAY!  Kelley and Justin got ready and then they left for Kelley's award thing.  She won a scholarship so they had a banquet for her and she had to give a thank you speech.  Mom and Dad went.  After they left, I fell back asleep and then I decided to eat breakfast.  I took a shower and then deflated my bed!  I don't really know what happened after that but eventually Mom, Dad, Kelley, and Justin came back.  Justin, Sara, Mom, Dad, and I decided to go to the mall to let Kelley work on some of her homework.  We walked around for a little bit and then we decided to go to Goodwill.  The Goodwill wasn't that great but I did end up finding Kelley a book she needed!  When we got back to the apartment, we decided to go to dinner in town.  I took a picture of all of us clinking out drinks together and looking cool.  I got a BBQ chicken sandwich thing which is Kelley's favorite and it ended up being 100x spicier than normal and we were both crying and dying from eating our sandwiches.  Dad also made a special request for us to eat fried pickles even though the restaurant doesn't serve them, but we got some anyway, and they were pretty great.  Then we went back to the apartment and Mom and Dad went back to the hotel.  Kelley and Justin had to get ready for Justin's semi-formal.  Here's Kelley lookin all fine and stuff:

When they left, I had the apartment to myself and I spent most of the time doing German homework and not studying for my test on Wednesday.  Eventually they came back and they all passed out so I went to bed too.

Today was a great relaxing day!!  I slept on an air mattress in Kelley's living room which took up the whole living room haha.  I woke up at 9:30ish and Kelley had already left for class.  Justin was up so me and Sara ate breakfast.  I just kind of laid around all afternoon before I decided to take a shower.  So I took a shower and deflated my bed and then Sara and I decided to watch a movie on Netflix.  We watched The Sweetest Thing which I had never heard of before but it was pretty great.  It was super '90s even though it was made in 2002 and Jason Bateman is in it and he looks exactly the same.  After that, we just chilled until Kelley and Justin came home.  Kelley did stop home at one point and she made a bagel but it burnt real bad so I took a picture of her looking sad.  When Kelley and Justin were home fer sure we went to a book store in Urbana. It was really nice and packed full of books...three whole floors!!  Then we came back to the room and Kelley and Justin made dinner.  It was super good!!!  And I was super full when I was done eating.  Then we went on a search for a concert Kelley had to go to for a class.  She was told the concert was in one building but it wasn't in that building so we went to a different building and they said it was in some other building, but by that time we were tired of running around looking for the concert so we decided to just not go.  Instead, we went back to their apartment and they had some friends over.  Kelley fell asleep and then eventually we all went to bed.  It was great!

I woke up today super not excited to go to class but that's normal on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  It was a still a great day despite the fact it was Thursday because I got to look forward to going to Champaign!!!  I took a shower and went to get breakfast and when I went to sit down to eat, I saw Maritza sitting at a table!!  It was fate haha. After that, I went back to my room and then headed to class.  There were supposed to be three presentations today but only me and another guy showed up so instead there were two presentations which means we got out 15 minutes early!!!  Yay!  My presentation went well and I'm glad it's over with finally.  After that, I studied a little bit for my German quiz and then I went to lunch where I did not run into Maritza.  I had German and then I had my German quiz and then I had to go to rhetoric.  After rhetoric, I had the viewing for my cinema class and we watched Point Break.  It was probably the first movie we watched that wasn't completely strange.  And it had famous actors so the two hours weren't that bad.  When that was done, I ate dinner and then I LEFT!!!!!!  It was so exciting.  It was rainy and cold in Iowa City and then we got in the car and drove!!  I-pods have recently updated their GPS systems to be AWESOME!  It pretty much acts like a real GPS...its talks and shows you the road and where to turn off and everything!  The gas gauge thing in the car was broken so it said we had a full tank of gas for the whole ride down hahaha.  It was really rainy and dark but we made good time!  It was only 3 and a half hours!
Once we got done, we got lost trying to find Kelley's and Justin's apartment but eventually we found it.  We parked at a Meijer and then we went back to their apartment and pretty much just fell asleep!  It was so great!
