TODAY WAS MY LAST SPEECH!!!!  This is a big deal to me...my worst fear is officially over!!!  So I woke up today and had a really bad headache but I pushed through it!  Kelley went to work and then I had to leave for my class.  I was super nervous for this speech because I didn't feel that prepared for it but it all went okay.  We even got to get out early today because there were only 8 speakers!  Yay!  I'm so glad to have that over with!  As a celebration, I decided to make it rain with my student evaluations I received today...unfortunately, this picture idea was a lot harder than it originally seemed.  I set my camera on a timer that takes three pictures in a row and I tried for a very long time to get a good picture and this was the best one that happened.  Jersey was looking at me weird every time I threw the papers hahaha :)  When I uploaded the pictures to my computer, there were 40 pictures of me trying to succeed in this task haha :)
After this, Mom and Dad came home and then Kelley came home shortly after.  We ate dinner and then Kelley and I went on a 12 mile bike ride.  The only way Kelley got me to go with her on this bike ride was to promise I wouldn't get sweaty but halfway through we stopped and I was dripping with sweat, bleh.  Then we both took showers when we got home and Jill rode her bike over to our house!!!  It's only 5 miles between our houses which is crazy because it seems a lot farther in my brain.  Now she is here helping Kelley send e-mails and I just looked at possible scholarships but I only filled out one.  Did I mention that I gave my last speech today?!

 I would just like to point out that I have no idea how it is already July 30th.....I'm not okay with that :(  My summer hasn't happened.  ANYWAY!  Today I did absolutely nothing and I liked it.  I woke up at 9 at Katie's house and then I just kind of laid on her floor until Carlee woke up and we left because Carlee was parked behind me.  When I got home, I tried to take a nap but that didn't work out so I ended up just reading and working on my speech because TOMORROW IS MY LAST SPEECH!!!!! Mom and Dad are no longer on 10 hour days so they were home by 4 and then I did end up taking a nap and sleeping until dinner.  After dinner I finished my book and then Kelley and I decided to eat some stuff in the kitchen.  Kelley wanted to eat leftover French toast sticks and I was eating the summer sausage and when Kelley went to put the lid back on the 2 French toast sticks she left she realized she didn't know which lid belonged to which container.  Putting a summer sausage lid on a French toast sticks container is really disgusting......it's not right.  So she was super stressed out as seen in the picture above.  Her solution to this problem was to sniff the lids as seen in the picture below:

That didn't really work out either so we decided the lid with the greasy marks must belong to the summer sausage and that settled that problem.  Now that that stress is over with, I think I'm going to watch Love Actually and be excited about finishing all my speeches tomorrow!

I didn't do anything exciting in the morning today.  Mom made breakfast with eggs and hash browns and French toast sticks.  Breakfast was actually really late so none of us ate lunch.  I decided to read outside for a little bit because I didn't think it was hot enough to swim so I just sat on the deck.  It started drizzling soon after I went outside so I decided to come back inside haha.  I decided to take a shower at one point.  Kelley was working so we ate dinner without her and then Dad drove Kyle to the train station.  We decided to watch more of the Olympics tonight and it was swimming and girls gymnastics.  A couple weeks ago, Katie asked me if I wanted to come over to her house for a movie night with some other of my friends so I said yes!!  I left for her house at 9:30ish.  It was me, Katie, Collin, Carlee, Elly, and Rebecca that was there and I took this creeper picture of them when we were sitting around.  Katie's Netflix wasn't working for some random reason so we decided to run to the video store but they closed at 11 and it was 11:11 when we got there so we had to run to a RedBox instead.  We rented a weird horror movie called Intruder in which the demon in the movie ended up being the girl's grandfather? and then we rented Friends With Kids which looked like a combination of a commercial, a TLC show, and some random TV show because we were watching it on a HD tv.  Neither movie was that great but they were still fun to watch none the less.  Then we all sprawled out on the floor and fell asleep.  Yay!

Today I did more work on my speech!  I also mowed the lawn.  At 3 o'clock I headed over to Mrs. Kim's house for an alumni barbeque thing!!  It was pretty much a bunch of my favorite people in one place!!  We took this awesome picture somewhat in the beginning but more people showed up after this.  We pretty much just sat around and talked and I one point Mrs. Kim gave us a tour of her house!  It was super nice and I realized how much I missed everybody!!  The party ended at 6 but we all left at 6:30ish.  Kyle came home for the weekend so he helped set up my laptop today!  Yay!  Then we all watched the Olympics as a family and it was a great end to the day!  Yay for USA!

Yay!!  Today was a great day if I do say so.  I went from having a speech on Tuesday with absolutely nothing prepared to having a speech on Tuesday and having my whole speech done!!!  Mom, Dad, and Kelley went garage saling this morning but I stayed home to be productive and it actually worked!!!  Last night, when I was telling Kelley about my speech and my unpreparedness, she said she needed to give me a lesson in procrastination...that means a lot!  I seriously worked on it all morning and I didn't shower until 3!  TMI?  At 5:30 we left the house because a guy Mom works with was in a play and he gave her tickets for free!  I decided to wear a new Old Navy shirt, capris, and my red shoes!  When Kelley changed her outfit, she decided to also wear a 3/4 sleeved shirt, capris, and red shoes because we're awesome :)  The play we were going to was in a town about an hour-ish away.  It started at 7:30 and we got there early so we decided to go out for ice cream.  Kelley and I ordered the same thing so we took this twinsie picture with our matching ice cream and outfit :)  The play was The Music Man which I have seen multiple times throughout the course of my life but it was still good!!  It was inside a church so it was kind of hard to see but the stage area was so tiny and they had almost 50 people acting on it!!  It was crazay!!!  We left the theater at 10:45 and got home an hour later.  When I got home, I checked my online class and my teacher graded the paper I turned in yesterday which means that I'm officially done with that class and I got an A!!  Yay!  My first college class!!!  It was such a great day!

LOOK WHAT CAME IN THE MAIL!!!!!  I ordered this on Tuesday or something...I have no idea how it got here so fast!  Today all I did was work on my essay.  I woke up and worked on it.  Kelley and Jill went to a retired teacher garage sale and I had to stay home because 1) I was doing homework 2) I had class at 1 and 3) Someone needed to be here to sign for the laptop.  So I stayed home ALL morning and I took the fastest shower on record just in case the FedEx guy came and then I left to go to school and Kelley still wasn't home.  Right when I got to class, she sent me a picture of herself holding the box.  I literally missed this baby by ten minutes :(.  We got out early from class today which was super nice!  When I came home, the house was empty and I thought Kelley was kidnapped because her phone was on the table but she wasn't in the house.  Then I realized she must have went with Jill to a teacher store.  I finished my essay and sent it in which means I am officially done with that class!!  Yay!!!!  After dinner, I helped Kelley label more of her books!!  We have such a great system down right now!!!  We spent hours doing that!!

Today I hung out with people that aren't part of my family!!! I know...it's hard to believe!!!!!!  Last week, Lauren texted me to see if I wanted to go to the lake with her and I said yes so we planned it for today!!  Originally, it started off being Lauren, me, and Cari but when Lauren picked me up, she said Sarah was coming too!!!  She picked me up at 11:15 and then we headed to the water park to pick up the other two from work.  I took this picture of us when we were in the car!!  We're so cute!  And Lauren was at a stop sign which is why she's not looking at the road :)  Right after we got there, Heather and Kaila showed up and we spent the whole day swimming in the lake and it was so great hanging out with them!!  I love friends!!  At one point we took a snack break in the house and then we got back in the water.  It was such a nice day outside today and the water was really nice too.  I'm terrified of bodies of water in which I can't see the bottom but I survived today because it wasn't too bad!  Cari had to get back for soccer so we had to leave at 5 and then I came home.  After we ate dinner, I helped Kelley label the levels of all the books she has gotten over the summer until the website crashed!  We got a lot labeled!!  The end.

Today was a day of crossing off things on our bucket list!!  For those who don't know, Jill, Kelley, and I started a summer bucket list a LONG time ago and so far we only had one thing crossed off which was going to Yumz and we did that the day the bucket list was created.  We decided to get a move on with it so we made a day centered around doing things we wanted to.  First on the list was the Farmer's Market.  Jill came and picked me and Kelley up at 10 and then we headed on our way.  We walked around the little market for a while and saw all the fresh produce.  Here is an awkward picture of me with sunflowers:

After we walked around the Farmer's Market, we decided to walk around town for a little bit because it was a nice day outside.  Then we headed off to item number two which was to go to a different town and get popcorn balls!  In a town close to where we live there is a tiny tiny shack that sells pretty much items you would find at a baseball park but their famous for their popcorn balls!  So we ordered our balls and sat on a bench in the park behind the shack.  The resulting picture is the POD!!  We are so great!!!  After that, we headed over to the community college because Dad texted Kelley earlier and told her there were free teacher books there so Jill and Kelley wanted to take a peak.  Kelley ended up getting a few books!  After that, we had to head home because I had to head to class at that same college but I did not have any of the stuff with me.  By the time we got home, I had to quickly leave because time was running out!!  I ended up walking into class right at 1 and I had to speed like crazy on the way there!  But I avoided tickets!  Yay!  Class ended early because all we did was listen to two people give speeches and then we took surveys.  We got out at 2:30 and I was home by 3!  Jill was still over when I got home and she and Kelley were standing in our kitchen ready to leave when I walked through the door.  They said they were just about to go to town but were afraid I would come home early so their guesses were right!!  We headed to town and went to Party City because Jill lied about them having smarty suckers hahaha :)  They did have 15 pieces of candy for a $1 so we all picked out our candy of choice.  Here is Jill with a tiny tiny basket :) :

After that, we went to Hobby Lobby and Jill got stuff to make classroom things and Kelley and I got cool posters that we're both excited about!!  Yay!!  Then we went home.  Jill made her classroom thing from Hobby Lobby and then we had dinner.  We were lounging around when we decided to bike ride to a small conservation park trail thing close by.  This was item number three on our bucket list that we completed!!  When we got there, the sign said bikes were not allowed but we didn't bring locks so we rolled them with us down the trails.  There was a cool water fountain with a pump which we spent way too long at having fun pumping water and taking pictures:

After that, the sun was about to set so we headed on home.  When we got home, we watched The Ron Clark Story and spent the rest of the night watching the behind the scenes stuff before Kelley headed off to bed and Jill went home!  What a successful day!

Hello!  Today I took turns reading and researching for a paper and a speech!  Yay!  Here is a picture of the billion documents I printed off today!  The go on forever and I don't know where to start.  Kelley worked at 1 today so I was all by my lonesome :(  I went in the pool because it was supa humid outside and I could use some refreshing.  Then I came inside and did the same thing I was doing in the pool which was read.  I just finished my book and it was soo great!!  I also ordered my laptop tonight!!!  I can't wait!  It ships tomorrow and is supposed to be here in a week!!  GAH!  Almost officially a college student!!!!!!!  That's all for today!  But tomorrow will be fun...!!!!!!

Today was such a productive day!!!!!!!  When I woke up, I started reading and finally I told myself "do something with your life!!!"  So I went into my room and cleaned/rearranged things!  I put my bed back together since it has been lacking blankets for over a week.  I put my laundry away.  And then I moved the contents of my bookshelves around so that I could make more room for more books!!!  I took this picture because you can see that my books now span across the top of my bookshelf!  Before there were tins up there but I moved them.  It has left me with two empty shelves that I don't know what to do with....BUY MORE BOOKS!!!  After this, I did some computer things that I had needed to do for awhile like answering e-mails and such.  Then, Mom and I left to go pick Kelley up from her weekend being a teacher.  We only had to drive 45 minutes to where the girl who drove her lived so it wasn't a big deal.  Then we did more college/apartment shopping on the way home.  When we got home, we ate dinner and then Kelley and I went to the movie store to return the movie and get new ones.  We watched one tonight and now I'm ready for bed!!  Yay for getting things done!

Hellooo!!!  Today was shopping day!!!  Mom, Dad, and Kelley woke up early to drive Kelley 2 hours away to meet someone who would drive her to Springfield!  I stayed home and slept and didn't even notice they left!  After I woke up and did morning stuff, Mom, Dad, and I set off on a shopping extravaganza!!!  Mom brought a list of things I needed for college and we promptly crossed many things off!!  Some of the stuff in this picture is for Kelley's apartment but most of it is for me.  We got towels, rain boots, a rack thing, an ironing board and iron (even though I don't know how to iron), a garbage can, a fan...and I can't think of what else!!  It made me really excited for school though!  After that, we came home and I finished Peter Pan.  I spent the rest of the night reading!  Mom and Dad are watching a movie now and I'm getting kind of tired!  Yay for college!

Mom woke me up at like 8 this morning so we could go garage saling before Kelley had to work.  I was super tired from staying up late last night but I persevered.  We left the house around 10 and headed to a sub-division sale that said they had 40 garage sales!!  They definitely had a lot and they were pretty great too!!  Kelley and I found two Billy Joel c.d.s that we are excited about because we are nerdos.  After that, we came home for lunch and then Mom and I headed to a different garage sale sub-division that really didn't have that much to offer so we came back quickly.  I fell asleep on the couch and when I woke up, it was time for dinner.  Mom cooked something from Pinterest tonight and it was AWESOME!!!!  It was so great, let me tell you.  After dinner, we decided to watch the news about the shooting in Colorado and then we decided to watch The Help again.  When Kelley and I watched it last time, we thought Mom would like it so we watched it as a whole family this time!  Yay!

I didn't really do anything this morning but Kelley had to work so I was all by my lonesome.  She came home a little after 12 and ate leftover Italian beef that we had and when she opened the container, there was a nasty layer of grease that was hard and she decided to spoon it out.  I wanted a picture of it because it was nasty so that's what I did!!!  Sorry if it's disgusting :)  After that, I had to go to class and all we did was watch people give speeches.  Some of them were interesting and some were funny.  After class, I came home and we ate dinner and then Kelley and I decided to invite our BCF over because we hadn't seen her in a while!!  So Jill came over at 8:45ish after Kelley, Dad, and I dropped Kelley's car off at a car place.  We decided to watch Parent Trap and It Takes Two which is pretty much the same movie but it brought back many childhood memories!!  After that, Kelley fell asleep and Jill and I stayed up talking until she left!!  Yay for cousin time!

Today was a nice day!  Kelley and I woke up at about 10 in the morning and we both took showers and ate breakfast and then left to go to the mall!!!  We made a few stops in town first so that Kelley could pick up her paycheck and deposit it and go to the post office.  After that, we headed for the mall and we decided to try to guestimate our way there to see if we could find it without any help.  We ended up doing fantastic at that!!  We never got lost!  Yay!  But it was seriously only about 2 roads to get there so it wasn't that big of an accomplishment.  When we got there, we decided to eat first.  Then we went shopping!!!  We went to a lot of different stores but we didn't buy that much which is okay with us!!  I got two cute shirts and cute hair bows things.  We finished shopping at 5ish and so we left.  We took this picture in the car which was really hard to do because my phone kept slipping haha.  You can see our minimal amounts of shopping bags in the back!  The drive home was very long because there was so much traffic!!  Also, people were driving like idiots.  But we finally made it home a little after 6 and then we ate dinner!  After dinner, Mom and Dad ran to town and Kelley and I took a nap.  When we woke up, it started storming outside!  Yay!  It's been months since we had a nice down pour around here!!!  And it stormed all through the night!!  We decided to watch Atonement which was weird and not that great but okay I guess.  Then Kelley finished knitting my yoga bag and we went to bed!

I gave another speech today!!!!!  I'm so proud of myself for getting through this class without passing out haha :)  When I woke up, I ate breakfast and took a shower and then I just waited until I had to leave.  I got to class earlier today so that I wouldn't have to be last to give my speech and wait all class period but there ended up being only 8 of us presenting today so it didn't really matter what time I got there.  I can't believe I only have one speech left!!!  After all the speeches, we watched the trailer for The King's Speech and a part of the movie The Great Debaters and then we went home.  I started reading Peter Pan because I'm awesome and then Mom and Dad came home and we ate dinner.  When Dad opened a letter that was addressed to him, we noticed that it was a ticket where they take a picture of your car if you don't stop at a red light or whatever and it was a picture of Kelley's car.  The date was May 5 which was the day of prom so we realized the person driving the car was actually my dad and so we looked the video up online and they pretty much gave him a ticket because he didn't stop long enough at the red light................that sucks.  Since Kelley was at work the whole time we were figuring this out, we decided it would be hilarious to leave the ticket for her and make her think it was her that received it because we are just such a nice family :)  When she came home, I told her she had a surprise waiting for her on the table and then I took a picture of her being confused about what she was looking at hahaha :)  She was really scared and confused and then I felt bad and told her it wasn't her and she hated us haha.  Then we watched The Help because I finished it last night and asked her to pick it up for me.  Now I'm going to bed!

Officially one month until I move in to college!  To celebrate, I received some checks in the mail!  I got this really cool package/envelope thing when I went to get the mail this morning and it was urging me to open because of "time sensitive information" so I did and I got this really weird cardboard thing and my free check book I got for opening a bank account with the bank at Iowa!  Yay!!  I was so excited!!  I feel so old now!!  It has my name and everything!!!!!  The weird cardboard thing ended up being some random box that I could make to hold check crap in but it doesn't really work....Another thing that happened in our mail today was this piece of wonderful:

Hahahahah wth?  It was for Dad so, sadly, I wasn't invited!  Other than that, I woke up this morning and had to schedule a chiro appointment by calling them, and for those that don't know...I have severe phone anxiety.  I hate calling people but I did it!!!  So I went to the chiro and then went to the post office because Mom needed stamps so I got her cute Disney stamps which are AWESOME!!  She told me to get something cute so I did!  The guy first asked if American flags were okay but I said no hahaha :)  Then I just spent the rest of the day reading/doing homework and it was pretty nice!  I finished reading the book I was reading.  Yay!

Almost a month until I move into college!  Oh my God!  I'm gonna hyperventilate.  Today I woke up at 10 and Mom made pancakes at that time hahaha so it was a pancake brunch.  After that, I spent the morning writing my speech and around 1 I decided to go chillax in my pool.  I got hungry and went inside to get something to eat and noticed that Kelley was home from work.  Her manager lady has sheepies at her house and she said we could stop by on Sundays to see the sheepies so Kelley asked if I wanted to go today.  When I was done eating lunch and Kelley was done chatting Justin, we left!  It was a super hot car ride because Kelley's air doesn't work and it is once again hot out.  I was drenched from just sitting in a car.  When we got to where the farm was located, we didn't really know which house we were supposed to go to so we just drove slowly down the road and then we saw a sign for somebody's birthday party and Kelley remembered there was some surprise birthday party thing for someone in the family so we couldn't see the sheepies today :(  That's why there isn't a ADORB POD today!  We drove home with a failed mission and then we hopped in the pool again.  Dad joined us this time and at one point he was dragging me and Kelley around the pool hahaha :)  Then Mom said it was time to eat and we had this amazing dinner thing that I can't describe.  Kelley and I decided to sit outside for awhile and she read while I did homework and then we came inside and decided to run to town to go get some ice cream.  Kelley's work had some sale for ice cream and Kelley, Dad, and I all wanted different flavors so we ended up getting three different kinds.  When we got to the store, none of the kind we wanted were in the freezer so Kelley asked a guy if they had any and he took us into the back room and into the freezer to look for them.  I did not go into the freezer because it was super cold but I stood by the door :)  When we got home, I took this picture with our three ice creams!  After I took it, Kelley said I should pretend like I was juggling them which I didn't know how that was supposed to work so here is the picture of me trying to do that:

Hahaha I crack myself up :)  When we got home, Kelley and I decided to do some power yoga thing that was super intense and then I ran two miles on the treadmill and took a shower.  Now I'm dead and gonna read.

Hello, friends!  I woke up at 7 in the a.m. this morning and that sucked!  I could not fall asleep last night and ended up going to bed at like 2:30 so I was so exhausted this morning!  We went garage saling in this rich neighborhood that was selling pretty much nothing so not a lot was purchased :(  Kelley found some books though!  Yay!  After that, we all headed home and then Mom, Kelley, and I headed out to go meet our aunty for lunch!  She called yesterday and asked to go with us but Kelley had to work yesterday so we made a date for today.  So we ate lunch together and we talked about crazay things that are super exciting!!!  We were at the restaurant for almost two hours!!!!!!  THAT'S CRAZY!!!  But it was nice to see our aunty-poo!  After that, we went home and I took a half-nap on the couch in which I kept becoming conscious of my surroundings while sleeping so it was really weird.  We ate dinner and then Mom, Kelley, and I decided to run to town to go to a new store and Kelley and I both bought cute dressies!  Yay!  I was just working on my speech for Tuesday but now I'm going to read and fall asleep!

Well this picture was a lot brighter when I took it...  I did absolutely nothing all day today which you should pretty much expect now because that's all I've been saying for the past week...I woke up at like 11 haha and then I did homework and more homework and more homework until I was ready to go insane and then we ate dinner.  After dinner, Mom, Kelley, and I all had a severe sweet tooth so we decided to go to Steak 'n' Shake and get a shake.  Dad tagged along with us.  The lady at the drive thru needed to calm herself down.  Every time Mom started talking to her, she would try to finish her sentences or she would cut her off and it was super annoying.  Then when she handed us the shakes, she practically threw them out the window at us.  She was definitely in a hurry...I took a picture of us clinking our shakes together but it was like 8:30 and I didn't use flash and as I said...it was a lot brighter on the camera.  But there's our shakes!!  After that we came home and that's all the excitingness that happened in my life :)

Today I decided to wake up at 9 so that my life wouldn't already be over by the time I had to head to class.  So that's what I did!  After I woke up, I read and then I got ready and went to class.  While I was parking in the college parking lot, I didn't notice until after I was ready to get out of the car that I parked in a square with three other Jeepsters!!  Aren't we all so cute in our square!  I was going to take a picture then but there  was a lady in her car and I didn't want to look like a weirdo so I decided to find something else to take a picture of for my POD but then when class was over, ALL THE CARS WERE STILL THERE!  It was a miracle!!  So I took a picture while walking to my car!  Class got out 10 minutes early today which was nice and then I went and got gas.  After that, I read some more and then ate dinner and Kelley and I decided to rent The Vow from redbox.  I liked it but most people in the world were not satisfied with it which I don't understand because it was pretty dang cute!  Now we are going to watch The Notebook....there isn't a theme to these movies or anything...

Hello world!  I woke up at 11 today....yay?  I read, ate lunch, took an online quiz thing for my class and then read some more.  At around 1ish, I heard Kelley running on the treadmill so when she got off I decided to run 2 miles again today!  Yay!  My feet really hurt now and I think I'm going to be sore tomorrow but oh well.  I took a shower after I ran and then I did more reading.  I pretty much spent the whole day reading the book I got for my speech.  When Mom and Dad got home (at the same time, in the same car!) we ate dinner and then I wrote my thank you cards for my graduation party!!  And look who's on top!!!  I hope everybody loves my amazing photoshopping skills because I know I do!  They go out tomorrow!  After that...I read some more...has anyone else noticed a pattern?  That was all my day consisted of...I wish I could add more but everybody would get bored...soo BYE!

TODAY WAS DAD'S FIRST DAY OF WORK!!!!  A couple weeks ago he had an interview at the college that my mom works at and where I'm currently taking classes because they had an open position for a plumber and last week he got a call saying he got the job!!  Although right now it's still temporary while everything's being worked out and such and then hopefully in a month his job will be approved and he'll be official!!!  He had his first day today so Kelley and I woke up at 6:15 to see him off!  This is him.  And here is Mom and Dad walking out the door together:

They're so cute!  Now that they work at the same place, they can carpool!!  They didn't today though just in case they found out they were working different hours but THEY'RE NOT!  This is really exciting for the whole family if nobody noticed........
After they left, Kelley and I had plans to go on a morning bike ride and then do yoga but we both decided to just go back to sleep.  I ended up waking back up at 10:40!!!  I'm not okay with that.  I usually leave for class at 12:30 and I actually wanted to do something with my life today buuuutttt I didn't :(  I pretty much woke up, ate lunch, read from the library book, and left.  6 more people gave their speeches today and then we did some learning and then we left.  I was super tired when I got home for some reason so I kept declining Kelley every time she asked me to do something.  We had dinner and then Kelley and I played on the wii doing various activities like tennis.  We ended up sucking against the computers we were playing with :(  Now we are going to watch She's the Man!  I love that movie!
On a different note, today was my friend's niece's first birthday!!  She is seriously the cutest baby in the world and he sent me an adorable picture of her:

I went to the library today!!  I woke up and I don't really remember what I did with my morning but Kelley worked at 12 so I drove her to work today!  I read a little and then did some homework and then Dad went off to the eye doctor so I decided to run on the treadmill!!  I did two miles which is the farthest I have ever ran without stopping haha :)  I hate long distances and I also have weird nerve problems in my feet so I did it bare foot and it was all good!  I was super sweaty though and really hungry because I hadn't eaten lunch before I started.  I was planning on going for 3 miles but then I got really bored with nothing to stare at but the screen that told me how far I had ran going up slowly so I stopped at two.  Then I took a shower and ate lunch and went to go pick up my sista from work!  I drove her so that she could come with me to the library after she got off work today!  I don't usually go to libraries because I like owning my books because they feel more personal that way but I needed references for my next speech so I picked up a few books!  I had to renew my card because mine expired last year and then we went and searched for some bookies!!  I was planning on taking a good picture but after I had already found the books I needed and we were ready to check out, Kelley and I realized that we forgot to take a picture so we hurried over to some rando shelf and I took this amazing picture instead :) 
When we got home, dinner was waiting for us and then Kelley and I decided to go to Old Navy and luckily today was not a good shopping day because we didn't feel like spending money haha :)  BUT for some unknown reason, our totals ended up being exactly the same amount even though we got completely different items!!  It was so crazy!!!  Then we hopped over to Maurice's where we think we offended a lady because she was trying to have a conversation with us while we made fun of a shirt Kelley was trying on...oh well.  After that, we came home and now I'm reading one of the books I got from the library today!  Yay!  Oh...in other news...this is what my pup looked like today:

I washed my car today!!!  Dad woke me up at 8:30ish this morning to eat breakfast so I did and then I went back to my room and slept some more until 10ish!!  It was great!  I barely remember breakfast because I was pretty much still asleep hahaha :)  After I woke up, Dad was in the garage cleaning one of our cars and I decided to sit out in the pool and read.  Shortly thereafter, Mom started eating lunch so I joined her and Dad and then we decided to wash my car!!  We also waxed it and I vacuumed out the inside and glass plused the windows and now it's so smooth and shiny and it looks almost brand new except for the fact that it's 15 years old.  After my car, Mom and Dad washed another one of our cars and then they washed Kelley's car while I did some homework and floated in the pool while simultaneously getting bit/stung but something in the pool.  We ate dinner and then I went to the train station to pick Kelley up from her Chicago trip.  Then we went to Walmart and did some random shopping and then went home!  That's pretty much all that happened today!

Happy 7/7!!  Today was absolutely filled with nothing.  I woke up at 7 because the 'rents wanted to go garage saling in a town a half hour away which started at 8.  There ended up being nothing there because it went on yesterday and apparently they sold a lot of stuff then.  We did get Kelley some books though so it was successful for her even though she wasn't there haha :)  It was also extremely miserable outside because it was so hot!!!  We ended up heading home around 10ish and it was already 94 degrees at that time.  When we got home, we ate a little snack thing and then I fell asleep on the couch for an hour.  Kelley came home from work at around 2ish and then there was some lunch eating and talking but she left to go to Chicago at 3:30.  At around lunchtime, a dark cloud descended upon our droughtful town and Mom got really excited.  She and Dad took Kelley to the train and then they went to Walmart and by the time they got home, it looked like we were finally going to get some rain.  It also cooled off a bit outside and the 80 degree weather actually felt nice.  Mom watered her plants because she said if she did then it would definitely rain and then she and Dad took Jersey for a walk.  I took a picture of the pup before they left on their excursion and she was already hot before she even got out the door.  It is now 11:45 and I don't think it has rained yet haha...yet another day with hay for grass...oh wells.

Today I woke up at 8!!!  I couldn't fall asleep last night so I went to bed at like 2:30 and I had a doctor's appointment at 9:30 so I had to get up at 8 :(  I didn't think Kellen would join me on my journey but she did because she's a good sport :)  I had to go to the doctor's because I needed a TB test for Iowa but when I got there they told me I actually didn't need a TB test because that was only for certain types of students or something but she was going to give me a meningitis shot instead since I am staying in a dorm.  I look really awkward in this picture but the band-aid is where they gave me my shot!  After the doctor, Kelley and I went driving around to see if there were any garage sails but there weren't that many so we soon went home because it was literally torture to be outside.  It was so disgusting today.  We had lunch at home and then Kelley went off to work and I took a four hour nap on the couch hahaha :)  Part of it was from not sleeping and the other part was from my shot but I was so wiped!  Mom and Dad were out all day and I was going to get my homework done but I slept instead.  When I woke up, I moved my laundry along and then tried starting my homework but Kelley came home with the triplets she babysits so I couldn't do anything after that :)  We went swimming and they were nutso and eventually they wanted to play with the wii so they did that and then they left to go home.  And now I'm gonna go back to bed :)

After yesterday's excitement, today was a nice relaxation.  I ended up sleeping in Kelley's room last night because Jersey was being a yahoo and kept looking and barking at things in her room so she thought there were ghosties and got scared so I went down there with her.  When I woke up, I got to work on finishing up my speech and then I took a shower, had lunch, and headed off to speech class!  I got there later than most people so people had already signed up for good speech times and I ended up being the 13th out of 16 person to speak and I ended up being the last one to go today because we ran out of time.  But this means I'm officially halfway done with that class!!  I got a midterm and two speeches done with in a week and now all I have left is two speeches and a final!  It's so great.  I actually don't hate that class like I thought I would.
After speech, I came home to an empty house and so I worked on my composition homework and then we had dinner.  I fell asleep after dinner and when I woke up, Mom and Dad were out buying Dad new work clothes.  It was at this time I decided to move my laundry along and I ended up putting my clothes in the dryer on top of Dad's already dried clothes and redrying them together hahaha :)  I didn't know the dryer was full because all the clothes were dark and blended in with the dryer's background :)  I was really confused at the time as to why my clothes kept falling out when I was putting them in haha :)  Anyway, while I was asleep, Mom made chocolate chip cookies which are my favorite!  She also froze some cookie dough balls but unfortunately my favorite German isn't here to share them with me :(  Now I'm just spending the night reading!  It was a lovely day full of productivity!!!

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!!  I would like to give a shout out to Jill and wish her a happy 4th of July in blog format!!  I woke up this morning because Mom had made pancakes.  I walked out into my living room and saw that Jill was still at our house!!  She had fallen asleep on the couch and stayed there!  Yay!  So we had pancakes. Mom even made chocolate chip pancakes which was the first time ever!!  They were soooo good! After breakfast, we watched Something Borrowed because we were supposed to do it last night but our shirts took too long and we all fell asleep.  Jill left halfway through to go home and then when we finished, Kelley and I took a shower and put on our brand new patriotic shirts!!!  We quickly did our hair and then headed over to Jill's house!  Kelley packed a cooler full of water and we brought some chairs because it was 105 degrees outside today!  105 DEGREES!!!!  It was so hot.  Sweat was dripping down my body on the way to Jill's house.  Once we were there, we took this awesome picture of us being patriotic!  And then we found out we all wore our red, white, and blue bracelets that Grandma gave us years ago!:

We also all wore the bottom of our t-shirts that we cut off last night in our hair because we're cute :)  Kelley and I had patriotic nails!  Here are our toe nails:

We splatter painted them using a straw.  It took a while to get the technique down but eventually we got it!  After these pictures, we headed out down Jill's road to go and sit at the end which is one of the main roads the parade goes down.  We found a nice shady spot on a hill that nobody was occupying and it was actually not that hot sitting there!  We ended up getting so much candy because we were by ourselves so people's attentions were just on us.  We put all the candy in our cooler so that it wouldn't melt.  It was so nice watching the parade!  I didn't want it to end!!  And then it did end :(  We walked back to Jill's house and got in my car and drove to the main part of town and walked around by the beach to try to find my grandma but she ended up not going to the parade.  We also stopped in Jill's dad's bus that he drives for the historical society!!  Then we walked back to our car, dropped Jill off at home, and drove to Grandma's house!!  She didn't go in the parade because it was too hot for her so we surprised her at home while she was watching t.v.  She LOVED our shirts and she kept saying how beautiful we were haha :)  We took this picture with her:

She's so cute :)  We stayed for a little while and then went home.  Jill came back over and went swimming and I worked on homework until dinner time.  We ate and then Kelley and I drove to town so she could pick up her paycheck and so I could drop off the movie we rented.  Then we came home and left to go to the fireworks on the lake!!  We met up with Jill once again and took this picture:

Then we went for a boat ride and watched the fireworks.  They were pretty great this year and the finale was awesome!!  We drove around a little bit on the lake and then the boat started sinking head first in the water since a lot of people were up front and we had to run to the back.  It was pretty scary and all our stuff got wet :(  But we made it back without drowning and then Grandma gave us ice cream!  Yay!  Then we left because Mom needs to wake up early and I have another speech tomorrow!  Oh boy.  It was such a great day today though!!

Today was a glorious day!  I woke up and got ready to take my midterm/give my speech in speech class today and then at 12:30 I headed out.  We took the midterm first and it was super easy because he took the questions from online which I had already looked over so I was done with the test in 20 minutes.  We got to sit out in the hall when we were done and then he told us to come in when everybody was finished taking the test.  We all had to go back inside the classroom just for me so that I could give my speech.  I did it and it was fine...I think.  I'm just glad it's over with!  Yay!  I feel so much better.  My voice was really shaky the whole time and I think I talked super fast but other than that, I think it went okay.  The people in my class were super nice so that's good!  Now I just have one on Thursday!  When I was done with my speech, we got to leave so I was literally leaving the college at 2 o'clock meaning the class was only an hour long...it was great. 
I went home and Kelley and I chilled in the pool while reading.  I finished the book I was reading and started the book Jill got me for my graduation present which is Ella Minnow Pea!  So far I really love it!  Kelley and I were also talking about the fourth of July and the parade tomorrow and that's when we realized we have nothing patriotic!  We decided to go to town to pick up some t-shirts and beads to make cool t-shirts to wear!  We asked Jill if she would like to join us in our endeavors and she said yes.  So Kelley and I got blue and red shirts and red, white, and blue beads and then we went home and waited for Jill to join us with her white shirt.
We started pretty late at night.  We painted our nails first and then we got to work on figuring out what we wanted to do.  Kelley had already done the beaded thing before so she knew what she was doing.  It ended up taking us hours to finally get the t-shirt all cut and then putting the beads on and then we had to figure out what we wanted to do with the top of the shirt.  We were all getting pretty slap happy and at one point I was balling my eyes out from laughing so much and my throat started closing hahahaha.  Eventually we gave up with the tops because we were getting frustrated and then we just all sat on the couch and fell asleep.

Today was day two of orientation!  I set my alarm clock for 6:15 but I couldn't hear it because the air conditioner was super loud so I overslept to 6:30 but it ended up working perfectly!!  I took a shower which was really dark and then I packed up my stuff and talked with my roommate for a little bit and then I went to breakfast.  They gave us a free breakfast at the marketplace and it was nice.  Then I met the 'rents at the main building where everything was held and we went to the large room again and they talked to us about residence halls.  After that, the students met in their little groups at a certain place and we talked about the importance of what classes we take and such.  Then the groups were dismissed and were taken to separate buildings to pick out their schedules!  My group ended up going to the building where the college newspaper was made and it was a super nice building!!  I felt so fancy schmancy.  And we were all on huge macs while we were looking through all the classes and such.  The first half of the day was just us picking classes we wanted to take and then we went to lunch where I took the POD very sneakily and I hope the girl sitting next to me didn't think I was weird taking a picture of everybody but whateves.  After lunch, we went back to the same building and finally enrolled in our classes!!!!  Everybody kept having problems with classes being full and not fitting in their schedule but I didn't and I was done super fast so here is what my schedule looks like!:

I'm super excited because they all seem pretty interesting and something I'll actually like going to.  The only thing is, as Kelley pointed out, and as I was aware of when choosing these classes is that there will be a lot of essay writing but that's okay I guess... haha I'm taking one science class and it seems pretty cool!  I like stars!  Hopefully it won't be confusing though!!  And of course, elementary German hahaha :)  I almost got out of classes on Friday but not quite!  Dern the dern.
After we did scheduling, we went back to the main building and there was a fair thing going on where we could walk around to different booths and find out about different information.  I got info from a blood donation center!  They were giving away shirts that said "I bleed black and gold" if we donated today but I was tired and didn't feel like giving blood.  I also signed up for S.T.A.T. which is a student group!  Yay!
Then we headed home.  I drove the first hour and it was my first time on a real highway and I think I did pretty well for my first time....we stopped for dinner at this really good place we've been to before and then Dad drove the rest of the way home.  I fell asleep in the back seat and then we were home!  Kelley felt like going to town so we picked up Jill and went to Target.  Jill got a cute dress and Kelley and I both got yoga pants.  Now I'm doing homework and working on my speech that will finally happen tomorrow!

Happy July!!  Today was my first day of orientation!  I woke up at 9ish after my long day of partying haha and then we headed out at around noonish.  We got there at around 4 and then we checked in and that's when I got my awesome ID card!!!!!  Yay!  This was the most exciting part of the day for me haha :)  I blocked out my student ID and some random number in the corner and my middle name because I don't want anybody being creepos.  I like the picture.  I was afraid I was going to be all hot and sweaty since it was so nasty outside but I think it turned out fine...there's a stupid light glare in the picture...  After we did that stuff, we went and checked into the dorm where I would be staying for the night and I arrived at my room right when my roommate did which was crazy haha :)  Then we went and ate at Chipotle cause the people at orientation said if we didn't eat dinner before the thing started at 6 then we would be hungry.  Once we all got seated in the room, they introduced a bunch of people and welcomed us and showed us a weird video and then the students were broken up into smaller groups and we were led away.  We were put into small orientation groups according to our major so everybody with me was journalism majors and then we did a tour of the campus and it was super hot and my feet hurt from walking all over Iowa City.  We met back where we started at 9ish and then my mom and dad dropped me off at the dorm room.  I did a little bit of homework since I have two speeches this week and then I went to bed cause I'm a loser. 
The beds in the dorm were lofted and they were super wobbly and it was really scary and I kept waking up in the middle of the night for no reason and looking out the window, but it was all good.  Yay for almost being a college student!!

Happy last day of June!!  Today was my graduation partay!!!  Yay!!  I woke up at 10 and then helped Mom do some stuff in the kitchen.  I had to ball watermelon and it kept squirting at me so I was covered in watermelon by the end.  Then I cleaned my room and vacuumed and my room looks so weird!  I don't like it being this clean because it feels strange!!  I took a shower and then Kelley and I went to town to go pick up our subs from Walmart!  Here is Kelley pushing the cart out of the store:

They were super huge!!  For some reason, all the check out people at Walmart sucked today and were taking FOREVER and we had a time limit cause Kelley needed to take a shower and I had to pick up my grandma!!  While we were waiting in one of the many lines we hoped in, some guy was seriously obsessed with the subs.  He kept pointing at them and cracking up and making stupid comments and Kelley and I just stood there awkwardly.  After Walmart, we drove the subs home and then I left and picked up my grandma!!  People started showing up at 3ish and we soon ate which were the subs and a billion salads my mom made!  Here is a picture of my cake:

But I liked it because it was nice and not overwhelming.  While we were all sitting at our respective tables, my grandma decided to show off the picture Kyle painted for her when he was in high school because she's really proud of it and wanted to show my dad's side of the family:

After we were all sitting there for a while, we decided to dunk our feet in the pool to cool off.  It was really hot today but we had nifty tents to block the sun while we ate but it was still hot...so we stuck our feet in the pool as seen in the POD.  At around 6ish or something, my uncle, Butch, Judy, and Mindy all arrived and someone took a table picture of them too!:

Jersey was a hot pup all day and she was so excited to see so many people and she was panting since it was so hot.  She also ate a lot of crap including licking Kelley's mayonnaise off of her plate...ew.  Eventually people started to disappear and then I drove my grandma back home.  Jersey was so exhausted from the day and so was I.  It was a really great day though and I love my family!  Yay!
