Today I had another tumbling meet! It was about an hour and a half away and my first competition was at 11:45 so we left the house at 9 since I had to be there a half hour early. We ended up getting there at 10:45ish but I was called pretty quickly. I waited around in the tramp warmups for a super long time while this giant vent kept blowing cold air on me. Then I was finally called over to compete. I ended up getting second out of three people on tramp! My next competition was at 1:30 so we just waited for that to happen. I got to try a newish pass but it wasn't all that different so it's not exciting. I ended up getting third out of fifth on double mini so yay! Awards were two hours behind so Mom and I went out to lunch hoping to waste the time but when we got back they still hadn't called it!! There were five people in my group...it doesn't take that long people!!! Luckily they called it minutes after we arrived back so that was nice! Then we headed home. I decided to pose my trophies with this beautiful pineapple that was on our counter :) Aren't they lovely? :) I did homework and then took a nap at one point. At 9ish, I went into the living room and Dad had decided to watch Freaky Friday on the tv and since we owned it, we decided to watch it on our VHS instead of waiting through commercials. That movie brings back memories. I swear I knew like every line haha :) That was my Saturday in a nutshell! Tomorrow's April Fool's Day!...or is it?

Let's play a game called make believe. Let's make believe that I wrote this blog post yesterday ;) I was so tired when I came home last night that I didn't feel like writing this!
Anyway, today I went to Chicago to visit Kyle. The point of this trip was to celebrate my birthday. I know my birthday was almost two months ago but I was always busy on weekends and since it is spring break, we decided it would be best to do it now. So after sleeping a half hour longer than I wanted, I took a train into the city that arrived at the station closest to Kyle's apartment at around 11ish. Then we walked to Myopic Books which I went to the last time I visited him in the city. This place is PACKED with books!! There is only room for one person to walk down the aisles and the floorboards creak and on the upper floors you feel like you're about to fall through the floor! Everything feels slapped together but you are SURROUNDED by books EVERYWHERE!! If you haven't gotten the message from my capitalized words, there are a lot of books there. Here's a picture:
This is only a small fraction of the store. After the bookstore, we went to Kyle's apartment then made a few stops and then went to a comic book store! Then we went to lunch at Irazu which is a Costa Rican restaurant! The food was delicious but we both got really full so we had to take it home. After that, we walked/bussed/subwayed our way across town to the Field Museum. I don't think I've ever been to the Field Museum before so this was really exciting for me!! Here is the building:
After we got there, we didn't know if we actually wanted to go in because it was 4 o'clock and it was supposed to close at 5 and the tickets were expensive. When we asked the lady about stuff, she told us that students and Chicagoans get a discount and that the museum was open for an extra hour today! So we decided to go in! Yay for learning information that wasn't on their website!!! Here is Sue:
Yay! I can't believe I've lived about two hours away from this thing and have never seen it (I think). If I have, I don't remember. Kyle and I just walked around for two hours. We saw all the taxidermic animals which were so cute and lifelike it was crazay!!! We noticed that all the settings were about 100 years old! Holy!!! Kyle was really bummed cause the bird exhibit was under construction and he said that was his favorite part. We got semi-lost in a tomb because it took us upstairs and then way downstairs and we just wanted to get out. And then we weren't allowed to go on the upper level of the museum because it was about to close so we looked at some nasty bugs and then left haha :) We decided to stop at Trader Joe's on the way back to his apartment becuase we wanted to balance out our humongous lunch with a fruit salad for dinner so we bought fruit. Then we walked/bussed/subwayed ourselves back to his apartment and he packed and cut up fruit and then we were on our way back to the train station!!! He decided to come home with me for the weekend so I was not alone on the train ride back. We also ate the fruit on the train. That was pretty much it!! It was a fun day! Yay! Oh wait! I forgot that on the way back from the museum, we saw this awesome sculpture somewhere in the city and I decided to take a picture for my POD. It's like headless people and it's super cool. There were some really dense parts which were full of bodies!!

Hello! Today started out like Monday and Tuesday where all I did was read and do homework. Dad finished our patio today which I forgot to take a picture of but it looks beautiful!! All day, Jill and I were going back and forth on DrawSomething being awesome and such and then at 2ish I got a text from her asking if I wanted to go to her classroom with her! I said sure because I didn't feel like doing my homework any more (not like I was doing it anyway) and because I love her! So we went to her classroom and I helped cut out letters and stars and squares for certain things. The letters and stars were for this board in her class! It's for the math superstars as you could probably read! Yay for superstars!! The squares were for her quilt thing she does each month! While this was happening, we watched The Little Mermaid which was awesome as always. Then we headed back home around 5:30ish! I feel like there was more to talk about on this adventure but I can't think of anything right now haha :) When I got home, I ate stew and then read. I finished Count of Monte Cristo finally! Yay! I would recommend it to those who have considered reading it! It's a very well planned book and it's interesting to see how everything plays out!! That's about all I have to say I guess! I'm going to talk myself into doing some homework but in reality I'll probably think of some excuse to not do it :)

Grr at this picture being blurry :( So Mom took the day off today so that we could go shopping for prom accessories. She made breakfast and during breakfast Dad told me that Cari was on the front page of the sports section in the newspaper!!! Here is the said article with a wonderful picture of her kicking a soccer ball! She's my hero :) It was pretty much an article about how her and her sister are amazing at soccer and life. After breakfast, I took a shower and then we headed out to go shopping! We went in a giant circle today, starting at one town, heading to another town about a halfish hour away, then heading to a third town another halfish hour away to eat lunch, and then coming back to the town we originally started in. Oh boy. It was a lot of traveling!!! I ended up getting earrings and a pursey/clutch thing! Yay! It was a successful outing! For lunch we had Chinese!!! Here's a picture of my marvelous plate!! (It was a buffet) :
For those who don't know, I could live off of Chinese food for the rest of my life and still want to eat it every single day. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially in buffet form cause then I can eat so much!! But sadly I get really full when this happens haha :)
When we came home, I read some more and then I had to head to tumbling. Since it is spring break, we didn't have class this week but since there is a meet this weekend, they had open gym just for team kids so that we could get a practice in. It went okay but it was really crowded so it was hard to do a lot of stuff. Then I came home and read some more! Yay! That was pretty much it!! I forgot to mention that in the second town we went to, my receipt blew out of the bag I was holding and I had to chase it down for a good 15-20 feet before I could finally stop it!! It was really windy and my hair was blowing all over the place, I was carrying a bag and a purse, and I was wearing flip flops so it was bad news bears. Also, this happened in the middle of a parking lot/road thing so it was very dangerous cause I was just running willy nilly into the road...I ended up catching it though!!!

Today felt much more productive than yesterday although in reality it really wasn't. I pretty much did the same exact thing as yesterday except for the fact that today I had a chiro appointment at 2:15 so I actually got out of the house :)! It was a lot warmer today too than yesterday so that was nice!
Last night, Mom had bought supplies to make the most delicious spinach dip in the world. This morning, she had all the ingredients mixed together except the spinach needed to be added but first the water needed to be all squeezed out. She left a note asking someone to do it for her and I thought I was the only one home so I started to do it. The water was really gross because it was tinted green and it felt like it went on forever. Once I finally got all the water out and started adding the spinach to the rest of the ingredients, Dad walked upstairs and I realized I was not home alone haha. He later told me he was surprised that I squeezed the water out and I told him it was because I thought I was the only one home hahaha. Also, I was still in a sleepy haze when this was all happening. Anyway, that is the most amazing spinach dip in the world and I definitely recommend it to anyone!! It was all we had for dinner tonight because it's so good :) For the rest of the day, I spent my time reading Count of Monte Cristo and Invisible Man and I also finished my psych homework!! As I said earlier, I had a chiro appointment and then at one point after dinner, I took a little nap. Then I brought Jersey outside and she ran around for a little bit while I sat there and watched her. Then I avoided econ homework, so today was just another lazy day! Yay! Tomorrow, Mom and I are shopping for prom jewelry!

Warning, today's post will be very boring/short! I woke up at 9:30/10ish and then read from Count of Monte Cristo. Then I ate somewhat of a breakfast after which I saw Jersey embracing her inner lion by having the ruffles of my blanket go around her head like a mane! It was a lot more lion-y before I got my camera and then she decided to move. But she is still a lion in my heart. Then I read and did psych homework and laundry for the rest of the day. I literally did nothing all day. But that's what spring break is for, right? Mom came home at 4:30ish and ate dinner and then went shopping. At one point, I looked out the back door and noticed a crap ton of birds in our backyard. I took a picture of them because there were so many but once again, a lot of them flew away by the time I got my camera so it doesn't look like very many in the picture. I circled them for all the people that care how many birds were in my backyard:
Could you tell I had nothing to do? I tried to sit down and write a scholarship essay but then I got bored so I'll do it some other time. I read a lot in Count of Monte Cristo so I think that makes today a successful day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BCF JILL!!! Let's all wish her a happy 26th birthday!!! For Christmas, Kelley made me a calendar with pictures of us and stuff and I would just like to share the picture that commemorates Jill's birthday:
That picture makes me laugh every time I see it :D Great choice on Kelley's part :)
Let's go back a couple days ago...I forgot to post this picture for the Friday blog and I just remembered it today so I guess I'll post it today but it happened Friday...On Friday, Mrs. Van wanted us to do book spine poetry which is where you make a poem using the titles of books and lay them on top of each other. She wanted us as seniors to create poems that were advice to the Freshmen and the winning poems would be placed in a display case. As a group which was mainly Korinne, this poem was created by us:
Our advice was to not have a baby. We found the baby book first and then we said we wanted to find a book that was titled Don't Have One but that didn't work out. We also found some other funny combinations but Mrs. Van refused to let them happen :) Katie found The Awakening and she wanted to find a book titled Don't Read It as her advice but that didn't happen either :)
Coming back to today. I donated blood today!!!!!!!!!!! Kelley and I went to a church that was holding a blood drive and we were both able to donate!!! I usually have too high of a pulse and Kelley usually has too low of iron but we were both okay today!! My pulse was 105 and then it dropped to 100. Whenever it's exactly 100, I think the people are just lying to let me donate...I'm not complaining though! :) Now I can get my red cord!!! I'm so excited! Kelley and I were making the phlebotomist laugh while he was taking our blood. We had a race and I went two seconds faster :) At one point during the donating, the phlebotomist was all, "I could tell you two were sisters from the massive veins in your right arms" I've heard a lot of "I could tell you two were sisters..." sentences in my life, but that one was definitely a first! The POD from today is a picture of us after donating in our new lounge pants!! They're really nice!! Also, I wanted to look normal but Kelley decided to look like a weirdy for this picture...soo...yeah. Also, that's one of my new tank tops from Old Navy!!! It's very bright!
At the church where the blood drive was, I had to parallel park for the first time in my life. Kelley was my parking coach and she did pretty good but sadly I did pretty poorly. Here's how far away I was from the curb:
I was pretty much in the middle of the road...OH WELL!! Mom just informed me that I could have gotten a ticket for that...oops. Anyway, after the blood drive, I mowed the lawn, we ate dinner, and then we took Kelley back to catch her bus to go to college :( I got really nauseous on the way home for some reason and took a nap in the car. When I got home I took off my band aid and found that I got a bruise from donating today :( Other than all that exciting stuff, nothing exciting happened today haha :) Just kitting :) It was a great day!

Today was my first official day of spring break!!! Yay!!! I got to sleep in and had really weird dreams but that's okay!! Mom made raspberry almond pancakes for breakfast which were good and raspberry-y. Then I took a shower and went to donate blood but I once again failed :( Then I came home and tried to read a chapter in Invisible Man but I fell asleep. I woke up in time for our lunch/dinner of corned beef and cabbage!!! Since Mom and Dad weren't home on St. Patrick's Day, we celebrated today instead! It was delicious!!! Here is our smorgasbord:
Yum-o! Then I finished reading the chapter of Invisible Man while Kelley facetimed Justin and annoyed me! Then we decided to run to town to go shopping. We went to Wal-Mart because I wanted chocolate and Kelley wanted other stuff so I got a bag of M&Ms which were delicious. We then headed over to Old Navy and I bought extremely cute clothes because it's Old Navy. Then I bough a belt from Maurice's Then we headed over to Target so Kelley could return something and when we got in the car we were on a perfect schedule to get home by 6:30! Mom had saved tickets at the place she works at to go see The Wedding Singer play that they were putting on. It started at 7:30 so we got there at 7ish since it was in a blackbox and we wanted to get good seats. There was a cute old man there that kept offering Mom a lemon drop and his granddaughter was the girl the played Julia. The play was really good and really funny but inappropriate :). It was a musical so there was a lot of singing! They also kept a lot of the lines from the movie in it! I hadn't realized how many times I have seen this movie until I was able to recite a lot of the lines haha :) The POD is the opening scene of the play. We weren't allowed to take pictures but shhh. Here's another one that I took just because it looked funny:
Hahaha. It lasted until 10 and then we went home and ate chips and salsa since our dinner was a lunch/dinner. Kelley and I just played ipod games until about 12 and then I went to bed :) It was a pretty relaxing day!

Hello, hello! This morning was the midnight showing of Hunger Games!!!!! (Technically this picture was taken a little bit before midnight...shhhh) So Cari came over to my house at 10:30 and then Kelley, Cari, and I headed off to the show!! Collin and Carlee had arrived at an ungodly hour and were nice enough to save us three seats right behind them!!! So nice!! When we arrived, we saw Sarah sitting in the same theater and it was really exciting so all six of us took this lovely picture with the help of one of Sarah's friends. Kelley and I were the only losers who decided to hold up our tickets :) We got there around 10:45ish and then just sat around for the next hour and 15 minutes until the show started!! While we were waiting, there was this lady that worked at the theater that was seriously having a heart attack. She was freaking out at Collin because he turned around to talk to us and she was convinced that all the people turning around in their seats were going to fall through the hole and get stuck...? Not like we're 18 and not dumb or anything.
The movie was good. There was a lot to fit into it so it was kind of rushed and you didn't really get to know any of the other tributes which kind of sucked. The acting was good though! Which was good! The cornucopia looked like a giant metallic whale so it was very strange. Oh and remember those awesome firey outfits she wore? Yeah, those were lame. Overall, it lived up to my not-so-high expectations so I was happy with it! Collin and Carlee felt differently though. Here's Kelley's vlog that shows part of our movie experience! :
I got home and went to bed at around 3ish and then had to wake up at 6:30. That was kind of rough but luckily since it was the last day of school before break we didn't do ANYTHING! School was such a waste of my time today! The only class we did something in was psych and even that wasn't that important. We also had a pizza party in German and watched a movie. Then we watched a movie in econ about where American food originated and such. And that was pretty much all! Then I went to tumbling and came home and passed out in my bed while trying to read Invisible Man. It was a pretty great day except that I was really tired haha :) WELCOME, SPRING BREAK!!!

Hellooo!!! Today was a very exciting day, I guess! So at 8 this morning I was scheduled to give blood which failed but I was kind of okay with it today because school starts at 8:20 and I had a Socratic seminar in first hour that I couldn't be late to so it was probably good I didn't donate! The Socratic went well except that our topic was kind of boring and I felt like we didn't really talk about anything important during it but whatevs. Then in second hour Mr. Stock brought in his son!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was supposed to happen on Tuesday when I wasn't there but instead it happened today because something came up on Tuesday. He was sooo cute!!! I'm really awkward around children so I just sat there but Katie was determined for him to love her and she pretty much succeeded haha :) He was too distracted with playing with his toys so we couldn't really test any of our experiments but we did manage to ask him questions that showed that he had a mind of a three year old haha When he saw the pictures of the lobster we took, he was very concerned about why he was sitting in a desk haha :) I love children :)
The rest of the day was pretty normal. We went outside for gym and it was super hot but we mostly just stood around and didn't do anything because we were playing a game that was dumb. When I got home, I took a nap so that I could be awake for the midnight show of Hunger Games tonight!!! Then Mom had to wake me up so that I could pick up Kelley from the train station! She was in Chicago for yesterday and today and now she is home. Now I'm just waiting around for the time when I have to head to the movies! I'm excited!!

Good Evening!! I slept soooooo great last night, it's ridiculous!!! If you ever have trouble sleeping, try waking up at 3:30 that morning and I promise you'll sleep great that night!!!! So today I finished my econ test which I did okay on. I did better than I thought I would considering I guessed on 1/3 of the answers!! Then there was a debate in psych which was just annoying! There was a tornado drill during third hour and the hallway we were directed down was overcrowded so if there was an actually tornado, a bunch of kids would have been dead. They then had to tell us to use a different hallway if there was ever an actual tornado. Geez, these people! Then we ate outside for lunch which was a first! It was really nice out! Unfortunately, our school is doing a fund raiser for something and they decided to play one song from Justin Bieber over and over during lunches until they raise enough money to turn it off...gah. Good thing I don't usually eat in the lunch room!!!! The rest of the day was pretty normal!
I was at tumbling when I realized I did not have a POD today! When I got home, I took a gander at my beautiful hairs and this is what the little fluffers looked like. It was so hot at tumbling tonight! But I felt like the only one dripping in sweat cause I swear I'm the only person that sweats in this world!!! Any way, I barely had any homework except to finish Socratic stuff so that was nice! And now I get to sleep cause I'm still exhausted!! I took a nap on accident when I got home. I just passed out on the couch! It was crazay! That is all!

Happy voting day!! Today I was an election judge. I had to wake up at
3:30 in the a.m. to get to the place where I was judging which was 40
minutes away by 5 o'clock. It was a very interesting experience but I would have liked it better if I had a decent night's sleep before hand. So last night I was scheduled to work at a different place which was in my town but then they called and told me to go to this place which is much more out of the way in my life. Remember when I stood in line for 45 minutes on Saturday? Yeah, that was a complete waste of my time because they changed everything I stood in line for. So I showed up to this place not even knowing if they knew I was coming but the lady that I first met ended up being super sweet! She reminded me of my great-grandma (who's the best person ever). There were two other women and another high school student along with me and the sweet old lady. We were the five election judges and none of us really knew what we were doing.
The time went really fast because for some reason our precinct was super busy even though everybody expected it to be super dull. There was really no break in the day. I definitely heard a lot of stories while I was there! Since I was not in my precinct and I changed parties in order to be an election judge, I could not vote in this election because my voting place was far away!! I would have liked to, though!! Voting lasted from 6-7 and it took an hour for us to clean up so I finally headed home after a long day at 8 o'clock. Now I'm super tired but I have to finish my stupid econ test tomorrow morning so I should probably try to study...

Hello World!!! This has seriously been the busy last four days of my life!! (except for yesterday but I think procrastination counts as business!) So today was just an average day school-wise. We took a 60 question test in econ in a 55 minute class period sooooo I didn't finish and I have to go in Wednesday to make it up! Then we had a sub in calc because our teacher was in a meeting. Then I came home and had a pile of mail!! Literally a pile! I received a weird thing that was junk, a letter from my school, a giant envelope from Iowa, and a book I ordered from Amazon. I opened the junk thing and threw that aside which Mom ended up throwing away later, then I opened the letter from my school which were nominations for the PRIDE awards at my school and things that I had to fill out. Then I opened the Iowa thing and it was stuff about financial aid and what I qualify for. GOOD NEWS BEARS!!!! I got a rando scholarship called the tuition scholarship or something!!! Yay!!! And I can also get loans. The mailio made my day! Then I opened my package and it was The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan. Fun fact: He's the guy that wrote Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist. Another fun fact: I've met him!
So then Arzizzle (as named by Katie) and I went to our school's spaghetti dinner!! For the past three years I have always participated in this event but since I am not longer in band, I got to enjoy the show instead! Above is a picture of the Madrigals!!! Yay Madrigals!!! It is a fund raiser for the music department by the way. Here is another picture, this one is of our girls' a cappella group:
I also got to meet Collin's niece tonight which may have been the best moment of my life!!! SHE'S THE CUTEST BABY IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway. Everybody sounded amazzzing!!!! And the food was good :) I have to go to bed now because I have a long day tomorrow being an election judge (hopefully)!!!! I get to wake up at 3:30...yay...! Happy Monday!!! 4 days left before spring break!!!!!!

I look disgusting in this picture but I don't think I could have taken a good one if I tried haha :) So Kelley and I decided to go on a bike ride today!! Normally we have a small little loop that we do whenever we go on bike rides (which is never) but today we decided to be different. We were tired of sitting at home and we wanted to go out and do something with our lives! We made up the path as we went and it was pretty great! In the end we went 9.94 miles!!! WOW! It did not feel like that while we were riding it! Here is the map I created once we got home:
I blocked out road names for my safety :) The mile markers are also on there. The POD today is of us right after we got home. I was really sweaty and Kelley was really thirsty. Kelley also did my hair in a really cool way except you can't really tell in this picture because it all happens in the back of my head. During our trip, we were near the roads that Jill takes to go to her class and right when we were talking about that, Kelley saw a little black car pass so she told me to call Jill to see if she was driving at the time! I called her but she told us she was standing in her kitchen haha :) We talked for about two minutes and then we moved on in our journey. Towards the end, our butts were really sore from the bike seats and we were both really thirsty. Also, the last road we decided to take ended up making us bike against the wind which made it very difficult :( We managed though! By the way Jersey was laying this afternoon, you would think we took her with on this journey:
She, however, stayed home all day.
After dinner, Kelley and I played Just Dance and we got more sweaty. On the game there is a song from The Nightmare Before Christmas and we decided we wanted to watch it since we had both never seen the ending before. We've both have only gotten to the middle of it every time we watched it for some reason even though we've owned it forever. Sure enough, when I pulled out the VHS, it was at a part in the middle of the movie wherever it was last stopped the last time we watched it! I ended up falling asleep halfway through the movie and I woke up right as the credits started so I still don't know how it ends haha. Maybe it's not meant to be :) Now I have the exciting prospect of going to school tomorrow...boo. It sucks having someone on spring break home with me! I just want to be on break too!!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!! Today was the busiest day of my life! I had to wake up at 7:30 so that I could pick Katie up so that we could go to our class thing! We signed up to be election judges on Tuesday and we needed to take a 2 1/2 hour training class to learn how to be an election judge! The class actually went pretty fast because the guy teaching it was really funny and at one point Cari leaned over and said that that class goes faster than econ hahaha so true :) The class was supposed to end at 11:30 and it did but then we had to wait afterwards to get assigned a place where we would be an election judge and that took 45 MINUTES!!!!!! There weren't that many people in line but once we got the front it was obvious why it took so long! It was seriously so confusing about what they had to do to assign us...I was so confused. But eventually I got a church in our town so that's good. We ended up leaving the place at 12:15ish and then I had to drive Katie home and by the time I got home it was already 1 o'clock. I quickly ate lunch and then I had to leave again! Last week my auntie messaged me asking me if I wanted to help one of her friends copy tax stuff on Saturdays so I said sure. So after I ate lunch, I went over to her house and copied tax stuff for three hours! It wasn't that bad because I don't mind doing monotonous work like that. And it was kind of interesting to see what's all involved in taxes since I have no idea about any of it. Her job seems very stressful though!!!
Mom and Dad had a wedding to go to today for Dad's cousin's son and it was 3 1/2 hours south of where we live so they left at 1ish when I left for the lady's house and then they came back at 11ish. When I came home from the tax thing at about 4ish, Kelley (she came home this morning while I was in my class) was really excited about something she wanted to show me so we went out to our garage fridge and pulled out two baggies that each had a dead bug in them. Apparently she gets extra credit for bringing in ten insects for her insect class so she was capturing insects and freezing them to kill them...
I joined her in her insect hunt and we went into the front yard and searched. We managed to catch three flies and a weird blue beetle thing. The first fly I caught was awesome because it was sitting on our fence and I went with the baggie to cover it and it went to fly away and it flew right into my baggie hahaha I was so excited and I kept trying to close the bag but it wouldn't zip shut but eventually it did. It was very exciting :)
Then Kelley and I decided to make waffles at like 7 because we were hungry. Normally on St. Patrick's Day, Mom makes corned beef and cabbage but since she was at a wedding, she couldn't, obviously. So to make our dinner more festive, Kelley decided to dye the waffle batter green! It looked really gross after they were made but oh well. They also looked like they would be minty. Here's a picture of one once it was broken open:
Lauren was home this week for spring break but I was too busy to see her and so we decided to do something tonight since she is leaving early tomorrow morning to go back to college :( She came over at like 8ish and then we sat on the couch for like four hours and she left at like 11:30ish. All we did was talk about stuff and it was great fun! We even had some serious discussions in there haha but we were just agreeing with each other the whole time so it was not like a debate or anything :) It was great seeing her again!! I miss seeing her all the time in school! Now I have to finish all the homework I didn't do today haha :) HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Yay for it being Friday!! All week I kept thinking it was Friday when it was some other day and then today all day I thought it was Thursday. Spring break cannot come fast enough!!!!!!! So today after school I helped out at a fun fair for NHS from 5-8. I forgot to take a picture of the kiddos while I was there so I took a picture of the brochure instead which has the wrong year at the top... I had to blur out the side because I wrote an address on it. Anyway, this fun fair was not fun for me. Boo. First, I showed up at 5 because that's when our NHS people said it started and then they told me I was working second shift which started at 6:30. Luckily, some lady recruited me to hand out little card things which she could have done herself but I did it anyway. Then the guy that was supposed to do that job arrived and the lady assigning jobs told me I could take the first shift for someone who didn't show up so I got to mark people's cards in the basketball room. Then Cari showed up and then 6:30 came around for me to do my actual job. I ended running a ring toss game. Since it has lately been 80 degrees, I started sweating a ton from picking up the rings after the kids would throw it and it felt like the line of children never ended!!!! But the people running the fun fair were nice enough to offer a voucher on a drink for the volunteers so yay! I probably would have died from hotness. That's pretty much the only exciting thing that happened to me today. Tomorrow I get to go to a class to learn how to be an election judge!

DON'T I HAVE THE CUTEST FRIENDS IN THE WORLD!?!?!? I thought so too :) So there is a reason behind there being a giant lobster in school today! In psych, Mr. Stock's going to bring in his son some time soon and we need to do an experiment on him based off of other experiments we learned about in that class that Piaget did on children. We decided to test his son's egocentrism since children around his age are supposed to be obsessed with themselves. In the original experiment, Piaget had a plaster mountain range that he placed in front of a kid and he sat behind it and asked the kid which view he (Piaget) was seeing. The kid, being egocentric, is supposed to respond by saying the researcher saw the same view as himself. Since we didn't have a plaster mountain range, Katie was kind enough to offer up her giant lobster for this experiment :). So we placed the lobster in a desk since it couldn't sit up by itself and took pictures from different angles and Mr. Stock's son is going to have to choose the correct angle from those pictures (it sounds confusing but it's not). Here is our favorite picture of the front view because the lobster looks awesome:
Katie said it looks like a CD cover haha :) Also, we're all a little concerned that Mr. Stock's son might be afraid of it hahaha :) Going along with this picture, Katie brought this lobster to first hour and sat it in a desk and while Mrs. Van was handing out stuff to us, she accidentally passed out an extra copy in the row the lobster was sitting in cause she mistook it for a student haha :) Then we took this picture:
Cause we decided we want to hang it on Mr. Stock's bulletin board and see how long it takes him to notice it's up there...he probably won't. We've had a sub the whole week which is how we're pulling all this off :)
Other than the lobster, today was a pretty normal day. It was kind of freezing in our school today but then I got so hot in gym class!! I was seriously dying. Then I came home, got alterations on my prom dress and went to tumbling. Since there is a tumbling meet in Indiana on the weekend, the coaches are leaving tomorrow so my Friday class had to get switched to today. I finished The Grapes of Wrath when I got home tonight. It was pretty good until the end. I don't know what the heck happened! It was so strange! And also, Mrs. Van kept saying how the ending scene grossed her out and I got to the second to last page and was all, "nothing gross happened" and then the last paragraph existed...UMMM!?!? I also felt that the story just kind of ended. But it was overall okay. I'm going to leave you with a picture that happened this morning that I thought looked funny. This is when Dad was making his lunch:

HAPPY PI DAY!!!!! I'm lucky enough to have the nerdiest math teacher on this day :) A couple weeks ago, when I was absent, there was a pi day sign up to be a number and my friends were kind enough to sign me up for it :) I'm way in the back in black next to Cari who has a bright yellow shirt on! I was the number 5. This is a combination of my class and another teacher's class and maybe some other people but I'm not sure... At first, we tried lining up along a wall and then realized that we couldn't fit in the picture so then we lined up in this hallway and told the photographer to stand on the stairs but we were all overlapping and you couldn't see all the numbers so eventually we had to do this snake zig-zag thing. My teacher is so nerdy that in the morning he had a pi song playing over the intercom where the person just sang the digits of pi. He also played it for us during math. I don't know if you can tell but the last person in the line is an ellipsis :) And I'm pretty sure the guy right before him isn't supposed to be there, he just wanted to use his jersey to make a number and pretend he was the next in line. Here is a picture of Cari and me up close!:
Aren't we lovely? :) Props to Cari for bringing the duct tape for me to use :) And yes I was nerdy and matched my school colors :) I'll tell you a little bit more about my outfit in a little bit! Going along with pi day, we got ten points extra credit if we brought in a pie (this teacher is one of those that doesn't see the point of extra credit so this was a big deal) so here are all the pies that were brought:
Haha! Soo manyy!!! I was the only one who took a slice from mine and it was gross so I only ate a bite. I hate pie. We were also able to bring in cookies or anything circular and one kid made these awesome cookie cupcake things! They looked like cupcakes but were made out of cookies!!! :
They were realllyyy goood!!!!! And those are little pi symbols on top which I think were made out of chocolate.
So about my outfit...it was about 80 degrees out today but I wasn't thinking when I got dressed because it was kind of cold in my house. I put on the long sleeve black shirt because I wanted a nice plain shirt for my pi number!! Anyway, I came to school and the first person I saw was Collin and he was all, "why are you dressed like that?!" I was seriously the only person in pants and a long sleeve shirt because everybody else got the memo that it was practically summer today haha. I was really hot! In German we went outside to do our classwork and our teacher seriously introduced the class by saying, "we're going to sit on the football field and talk about Hitler." Hahaha :) We actually sat on the bleachers, but oh well! I was really hot out there too! Right after that class, I had gym which was supposed to be a weight room day but we went outside instead and ran the bleachers for the whole period. I was so sweaty, it was ridiculous. That also made it worse for putting on my wintery outfit once gym was over! Today was a late start so thankfully we didn't have to run too many bleachers!
Then I came home, went to tumbling, left tumbling early to get to NHS, then came home! Justin visited to say goodbye cause he's leaving tomorrow to go to Germany and I just now quickly took a shower and I have to finish my homework!!!

I look like a crazy person in this picture, but ignore that haha :) Also ignore my leotard underneath the dressy! So this is my tap dance costume! It's to the song Proud Mary which I think is going to be AWESOME! My ballet and tap are pretty much tied with which one's my favorite but tap might be winning out right now! The only problem I have with this dress is that it's kind of long and it looks very...churchy or something (if there weren't giant sequins all over it) I also got my jazz top today. Here is a picture of that:
So there's that. In the background of both pictures, you can see my drawer on the ground. What you can't see is my billions of college letters that are scattered around the drawer! This is because Mom signed me up for classes at the community college today and in order to get into my English class, they need either a placement exam or some proof of my prior English abilities which could be an ACT score. The ACT test that I got the highest score on happens to be the one report we're missing and so we had to search through my desk and the billions of college letters to see if it was hidden amongst them. It wasn't. We ended up just ordering another report.
Today was pretty good until about eighth hour. I don't know what happened, I just got so angry <-- Sarcasm. I do know what happened, but I'm not gonna rant about it.
When I came home, this is what Jersey looked like on my pillow:
She thinks she owns everything. I didn't have a lot of homework tonight because I finished a lot of it in school today so that was nice! I did take another nap though...I swear I've taken one nap a day for like a week! Jeez! Dad installed our new fire alarm/carbon monoxide detector so now we are a safe family! Yay! Then I went to dance and got the aforementioned costumes. The end. Tomorrow is pi day!! Be prepared for a celebration!!!!!!

So today I started the day off by waking up 45 minutes late hahaha...oops :) I somehow managed to do everything I usually do in the morning in the time I had left! I'm pretty much amazing :) I did arrive later than usual at school, though, and Katie was worried I wasn't showing up :) I was dead in first hour today because I was SO tired!! I could not fall asleep last night because of daylights savings time! I kept looking at the clock and being like, "technically, it's only 11 o'clock" and so I couldn't fall asleep so I barely got any sleep. Boo.
Then in second hour, I saw that my bracelet had unraveled at the end! The knot slipped off and then the twisty part came undone :( I tried to re-twist it, but as you can see, that was a complete failure haha :) If anybody knows how to do a twisty bracelet thing, let me know!! I was pretty much just having a really lousy morning until about lunch when I became happy just because I like being around my friends :) Nothing particularly exciting happened, I just became happier haha :)
In econ, I got a nice invitation to go to our high school's honor banquet! Yay! I'm excited to go! I don't really know what happens, but I bet it's fancy!!! And then in calc, we had a surprise partner assessment which pretty much nobody finished so we get to have more time tomorrow!
I came home and read Grapes and I kept falling asleep over and over. I swear I fell asleep about five times in the course of my reading tonight. Then I did some psych homework and I think I might study for my econ test that's on Thursday. I'm feeling productive :)

Happy Sunday!! Yesterday, Dad made this beautiful shelf ladder for Kelley's room! And today he brought it up to the house to show it to us people who didn't feel like going down to the barn to look at it! Isn't it great? It looks so profesh! I give him an A++!
Today I did a whole lot of nothing once again! I woke up at 10ish and then ate and then have really no recollection of what happened between that time and about 3 o'clock when Butch and Judy came over for a surprise visit! It was nice to see them as always :) OH WAIT!! I just remembered how I spent my afternoon haha :) Mom and I were trying to make educated decisions on what classes I should take over the summer at the community college. It seriously took like four hours (not really). Here's my dilemma: I have to take a rhetoric class at Iowa which consists of speech, comp I, and comp II. If I just take speech or if I just take comp I over the summer, it doesn't change the class at all and I would be placed in the same class as if I hadn't taken any classes over the summer. So obviously I should sign up for speech and comp I so that I could get those out of the way and just take the rhetoric class that is just reading and writing. BUT! I'm in AP lit which satisifies the requirement for the comp I class only if I get a 4 or a 5 on the AP test. If I pass out of that, then I can take comp II over the summer and not have to take any rhetoric class! BUT! I won't know my AP score until July after the summer classes have already started so I can't sign up for comp II because I don't know if I passed comp I yet! If I only take speech over the summer, hoping I get a 4 or 5 on my AP test and then not get a 4 or 5 on my AP test, then I would have to take speech again at Iowa (the goal here is to take as little of speech as possible). If I signed up to take comp I and speech and then find out I got a 4 or 5, then it'll be super redundent and I would get credit for the same class twice but I'd rather be safe than sorry so I signed up to take it over the summer. I much rather take comp II to completely fulfilll my rhetoric requirement but there was no way for that to work no matter how we tried :( Then we decided I just shouldn't take the AP test but Iowa says that I can fulfill a different gen ed requirement if I get a 4 or 5 for some other English class (but I'm going to school for English so I don't care about taking English classes...) There was also an opportunity to take comp I as an intersession class that's only three weeks long from May to June and then take comp II as a summer class BUT!, I'm still in school for the first week of that class (we think) and it's during the day and I don't know if I can take those classes while still in high school. Sooooo, that's my problem :( Sorry it's lengthy but it's been very hard to make a decision :(
This next part is for Kyle. I don't know if he reads my blogs but I'll tell him this anyway :) So today this person I stalk on twitter posted this and it made me laugh :) :
Hahaha :) Yes. Me: "What is soup du jour?" Kyle: "Are you serious?" :)
Speaking of French food, Mom made chicken cordon bleHH tonight which was very tasty but she said it was a very messy meal to make so she probably won't make it again.
Then tonight I started Count of Monte Cristo which is really great so far!! It's the type of book that goes fast because the writing is very fluid and easy to follow! And they don't spend pages and pages describing things. Kelley went home today but she'll be back on Saturday for her spring break!! That was pretty much my Sunday :)

Here are my yoga socks as a complete family!! They have been missing their other halves :) This is me practicing their amazingness while taking this picture. It was hard to keep my balance haha :) I honestly don't even know how the time passed today... This was probably the first weekend out of the whole school year that I haven't been overwhelmed with getting homework done! All I had was Grapes reading which I finished and then some scholarships that I could work on. So I pretty much just spent the whole day laying around. Kelley and I were gonna go to town so we spent most of the afternoon saying we should probably get ready to go and then eventually we decided we would just wait until her spring break to go shopping because we really didn't feel like it :) Justin also spent a lot of the day here as well and when he was in my room eating something, Jersey was following him and of all the places she could have begged for food, she HAD to sit on the small part of my floor that my purse was covering:
That dog. Then for dinner we had the most adorable hamburgers ever!!! They were so tiny!! I've seen sliders before but for some reason these just looked so much cuter than normal!! Kelley thought their arrangement looked like a flower so she added a stem and a leaf while I was taking the picture:
And here was the mini burger I made using mini pickles that we had :) We didn't have mini buns so I had to forgo those:
I tried to get the whole plate in the picture so you could see the proportion :) And yes, we do have McDonald plates! So a very unexciting thing that I did tonight was that I signed up to take summer classes at the community college. This wouldn't be that horrible except for the fact that I did this to take speech. Ugh. If there is one thing I hate more than ANYTHING in the world, it is public speaking. I would seriously do anything to get out of it. Anything. I just get so nervous and then I start to hyperventilate and it's just bad news bears. I don't even know why though because I know more than half the people aren't listening to me but it doesn't matter what I say to myself, I'll always be terrified :( In happier news, Katie and Janelle stopped by for a few minutes tonight before they and Kelley headed over to Justin's going away partay!

Today was Karla's birthday! Yay! Happy birthday, Karla!! Today was a really good day because a lot of people were gone from school for field trips so our classes were super small and I loved it! In German, there were only five of us so Karla got to pick out a movie for us to watch since it was her birthday. This is her with a cookie that someone made her! The end of the day was the best cause I watched the movie in German, just talked in strength because we were doing maxes and we were already done, talked about Africa in econ, and then just sat around and talked in calc. Haha so unproductive but I don't care!! Graduation cannot come fast enough!! Two months and ten days!!!!!!!!!! I'm excited :)
After school, I had tumbling where I once again came SUPER close to getting my full. Gahhh!!! My coach was like "you're killing me!!!" and I was like, "I'm killing myself." Ughh my body doesn't twist!! Tumbling went super fast though and I felt like I was only there for like a half hour!! I like when it goes fast!
After I came home, I did nothing and then we left at 9:15 to pick Kelley up from her bus!! She came in this weekend! Yay! I wore my slipps in the car because my feet were cold and I didn't feel like wearing shoes :) :
So cute! :) I passed out on the way home and then I passed out on the couch once we got home and then I passed out in bed after I finally was able to get up and move :) Today was such a great day!! I loved it :)
